Securing an MBBS seat in a government medical college with 400 marks in NEET is quite a task but its not completely impossible. Assam Medical College, and Purulia Government College are a few government colleges that take admission of students for their MBBS programme. Raiganj Government Medical College, Burdwan Dental College & Hospital, and Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences are some other colleges.

No, to become a BUMS doctor, appearing for the NEET exam is not mandatory. However, students must score well in their class 12th to get admission into Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) directly without NEET. A minimum of 50% is required for General students to achieve in PCB. For Reserved category students, a minimum of 40% is required in PCB to be eligible for BUMS admission without NEET.

In case if you have changed your name legally before submitting the NEET UG application form, then it should not create any problem. However, if you change your name legally after submitting the application form then you can show an affidavit of your legally changed name during admission time. In this way it should not be a problem.

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) has a total of 4 sets of questions in the question paper. Further, the 4 sets are segregated into 6 parts, making the total number of questions 24. The 4 sets or codes are named Q, R, S, and T. However, 200 questions are asked in total in NEET. The marking scheme for all is the same: 1 mark for each correct response, -1 for each wrong response, and 0 for unattempted questions.
