RPSC Eligibility Criteria: Current Recruitments
Candidates need to be aware of the eligibility criteria for RPSC 2024 before applying for any post. To be deemed eligible, one must be a citizen of India who has obtained a degree from a recognized university or college. Candidates must take the following criteria into account for each post:
- For the Assistant Mining Engineer and Geologist post, the candidates must have a degree in Mining Engineering from a University established by law in India. The candidates must be aged between 20-40 years.
- For the Jailor post, the candidates must have a graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university. Additionally, the candidates must have a working knowledge of Hindi Written in Devnagari Script along with knowledge of Rajasthani Culture.
- For the Assistant Prosecution Officer post, one must have a degree in Law (or an integrated degree in Law will also work). Applicants must also be able to read and write in the Devnagri lipi, and must have sound knowledge of Rajasthani dialects and social customs of Rajasthan.
- For the Assistant Professor post, one must have pursued a Master's degree in the respective discipline and hold a NET/SET certificate in the respective subject. The age of the applicant should not be below 21 and above 40 years as of January 1, 2025, to be able to apply online.
- For the Programmer post, candidates must have a B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, or MCA from a recognized university.
RPSC Eligibility Criteria 2024
The general eligibility requirements for the various posts under RPSC 2024 are as follows:
- Candidates should complete their Senior Secondary from a recognized Board or its equivalent examination (Or)
- Hindi, English, Political Science, and History: Candidates must possess a NET/SET certificate in each subject and have completed a Master's degree programme in those fields.
- The following subjects are accepted: Samanya Sanskrit, Sahitya, Vyakaran, Dharmasastra, Jyotish Ganit, Yajurveda, Jyotish Falit, Rigved, Samanya Darshan, Bhasha Vigyan, and Yoga Vigyan.
- A candidate must have completed the SET/NET and hold an Acharya Degree with a 55% aggregate.
- Higher Level Certificates Course conducted by DOEACC under control of the Department of Electronics, Government of India (Or)
- Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA)/ Data Preparation and Computer Software (DPCS) certificate organized under National/State Council of Vocational Training Scheme (Or)
- Diploma in Computer Science/Computer Applications from a University established by law in India or from an institution recognized by the Government (Or)
- Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering from a polytechnic institution recognized by the Government (Or)
- Rajasthan State Certificate Course in Information Technology (RS-CIT) conducted by Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota under the control of Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Limited (Or)
- Working Knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagri Script and knowledge of Rajasthani Culture.
- Candidates who have completed their Bachelor's or Master's in Technical Education or in the respective field for RPSC post are eligible given that they have secured First Class or equivalent in the respective degree.
RPSC Eligibility Criteria 2024 Based on Age Limit
RPSC age limit for the candidates is as follows.
Maximum Age: To apply online for the position of Assistant Professor, a candidate's age must be between 21 and 40 as of Jan 1, 2025; for OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and female candidates, there will be a 5-year upper age relaxation.
Lower Age Limit: Applicants should be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Upper Age Limit: Candidates cannot be more than 40 years of age.
As per RPSC 2024 notification, Age Relaxation for the various categories is as follows:

Note
- The State Government of Rajasthan may further relax the age limit of candidates with disabilities.
- The upper age limit for Ex-Service Personnel and Reservists, namely the Defence Service Personnel transferred to the reserve would be 50 years.
