About RRB JE
RRB JE stands for Railway Recruitment Board Junior Engineer. The Railway Recruitment Board conducts the RRB JE Exam to recruit candidates from the science and engineering backgrounds to fill the various technical positions in the Indian Railways. Railway Recruitment Boards were initially set up with the name of service commissions. The Railway Services Commissions were subsequently changed as Railway Recruitment Boards in 1985.
In 1998, all the RRBs in the country came under the umbrella organization Railway Recruitment Control Board (RRCB), which operates directly under the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board). The RRBs are responsible for the recruitment of staff in different positions. They coordinate, recruit through a centralized recruitment advertisement, and conduct an online computer-based test (CBT) across the nation.

Nationality: A candidate must either be an Indian resident, subject to Nepal / Bhutan.
PIO emigrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam as refugees who had come to India before January 1st,1962 to settle there to settle permanently.

RRB JE 2024 Educational Qualification
- Junior Engineer: Applicants should have a valid diploma/degree in the relevant stream prescribed for different positions in Annex-A of the notice published on the official website.
- Junior Engineer (IT): PGDCA / B.Sc (Computer Science)/BCA / B.Tech (IT)/B.Tech (Computer Science)/DOEACC B level course of 3 years or the equivalent of the university/institute recognized must be completed by the candidates.
- Depot Material Superintendent (DMS): Diploma from any discipline in engineering is required.
- Chemical and Metallurgical Assistance (CMA): Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Chemistry Science and received an aggregate of at least 55% marks.
RRB JE 2024 Application Form
Candidates can fill out the RRB JE 2024 exam application form by visiting the Railway Recruitment Board's official website. The form includes details such as personal, educational, and other relevant information. If the details they provide are found to be false at any stage, then such candidates' candidature will be immediately canceled.
Candidates will enter their name, father name, and Date of birth as indicated in the Certificate of Examination Matriculation / SSLC / High School or an equivalent certificate only. Applicants must pay the required amount of application fee. One should avoid submitting multiple forms at all costs.

RRB JE 2024 Application Fee
It is mandatory for candidates to pay the application fee on time. Any late payments will not be considered. The RRB JE application will be considered complete only when the payment of the application fees for the same is successful. The RRB JE application fee is different for different categories.

Steps to Apply Online for the RRB JE Exam
- Go to the official website, www.rrbcdg.gov.in and click Apply Online to complete the registration page.
- Enter your details, your email I.D., and your mobile number.
- After registration is completed, you will find the application number generated by the system in your email Id and mobile number.
- Now login again and select your subject, position, and preferred exam centre.
- You need to upload your photo and signature to the specified format in this step.
- Pay the application fee either by debit card/credit card / net banking or Paytm.
- In the final step, download four copies of the completed application form and the e-receipt for further reference payment.

The RRBs release RRB JE Admission Cards on the official website and the candidates are expected to download the RRB JE Admit Card through the RRBs. The RRBs have yet to release a centralized notification for the RRB JE 2024 exam.

RRB JE CBT 2 Exam Pattern
The RRB JE CBT 2 stage of the examination is the final test because the marks obtained by the candidates are considered final merit. CBT 2 is the final stage of the RRB JE test. If the candidate is medically qualified and meets all RRB JE eligibility requirements, they will be chosen if they scores above the CBT 2 cut-off.
The total number of applicants to be selected for the second stage is 15 times the total Community vacancy of posts notified against the RRB in the 1st stage of the CBT, based on their merit.

The minimum qualification marks for the RRB JE 2024 exam shall be decided based on multiple considerations. The main factors affecting the Cut Off marks for the Railway Junior Engineer Examination are:

- The total number of vacancies for RRB JE is listed in the official notification.
- The difficulty level of the Railway Junior Engineer exam.

RRB JE 2024 will be released by the authority on the website soon after the exams are over. The result will be released on the official website by the conducting authority. The Railway Recruitment Boards will issue the results of the RRB JE 2024 online in PDF format.
The RRBs release more results than the actual requirement to fulfil their requirements as sometimes the candidates may refuse to join the final round. The result of the RRB JE will be announced after the final answer key has arrived.

- The result of the RRB JE is released in pdf format. It includes the roll number of all candidates eligible.
- If the RRB JE result pdf does not list the candidates' roll number, this means the candidate is not qualified for that stage.
- Download the result for future reference, and save it.

RRB JE Exam 2024 Selection Process
The Railway Recruitment Board conducts examinations to recruit candidates for the post of Junior Engineer every year. Under the Junior Engineer posts, there are several departments which are Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, and IT.
Candidates can go through the below RRB JE Selection Process:
The selection process consists of 4 stages. Candidates must complete all four stages to be eligible for the post. The selection procedure is mentioned below :
Stage 1: CBT I or Computer-Based Test I
Stage 2: CBT II or Computer Based Test II
Stage 3: Document Verification
Stage 4: Medical Examination
Candidates must clear the Stage I and Stage II computer-based test after which they will be called for the Document Verification process.
RRB JE Document Verification
Candidates who clear the stage 1 and stage 2 are eligible for the RRB JE document verification stage. Candidates will have to carry the below-listed documents at this stage, which are as follows:
- Date of birth and Matriculation Certificate
- High School Examination Certificate
- Degree Certificate or Diploma Certificate
- Category Certificate, if any.
- Income Certificate
- Medical certification
- Minority Declaration on non-judicial Stamp Paper

RRB JE Medical Examination
Candidates who have completed the document verification round will have to go through the medical examination process as per the rules set by the board. Candidates will be checked in terms of their fitness level and only after being approved, the candidates will be considered for the post of RRB Junior Engineer. RRB JE 2024 Salary - During and After Training Period
During the training period of RRB JE in Indian Railways salary will be INR 34,500. The RRB JE salary after the training period will be INR 42,000 per month. The RRB JE salary will depend on the candidate’s location that they posted in, divided into three different classes.
