SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria 2024
All candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. Detailed criteria for SSC CHSL related to eligibility are mentioned in this section. There will also be some concessions given as per the reservation policy to candidates belonging to categories like SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS/ PwD/ ESM.
The eligibility for SSC CHSL 2024 depends upon many factors such as
- Nationality
- Educational Qualification
- Age
The first two conditions are rigid however, in the last condition, relaxation is provided based on the category to which the candidate belongs. The candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria should analyse the SSC CHSL 2024 syllabus and start their preparation.
SSC CHSL 2024 Nationality
The SSC CHSL eligibility criteria focusing on the Nationality of the candidates for SSC CGL are.
- A candidate must be a citizen of India.
- The candidate can be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
- A candidate can be a Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 intending to permanently settle in India.
- A person of Indian origin, who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.
SSC CHSL 2024 Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for SSC CHSL must have passed class 12 from a recognized board/university or any equivalent degree. Candidates applying for the post of Data Entry Operator in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India should have completed class 12 in the science stream with mathematics as one of the subjects.
SSC CHSL 2024 Age Limit
General Category: A candidate must have attained a minimum age of 18 years and should not be more than 27 years old.
Reserved Categories: Age relaxations provided for candidates from various categories are as follows:

Who is Not Eligible for the SSC CHSL Exam 2024?
The following candidates are not eligible for the exam:
- Candidates not having science with maths in 12th class are not eligible for DEO(Data entry operator).
- Candidates are less than 18 years old or more than 27 years old (except for reserve classes).
- Candidates not satisfying the Nationality criteria.
