SSC GD eligibility criteria 2023 is determined by the conducting authority. The SSC GD exam offers qualified candidates posts in General Duty Constable and Rifleman. SSC GD 2023 Eligibility
Candidates who give the SSC GD 2023 exam without satisfying the eligibility criteria will not be selected in further rounds as their candidature will be canceled. Hence, ensure that you satisfy the criteria for the SSC GD exam. The following criteria have been set for the SSC GD
SSC GD 2023 Nationality
Only Indian aspirants can apply for the exam. Vacancies are allotted based on State/UT wise hence a candidate should submit domicile/ PRC against his/ her state/ UT.
SSC GD 2023 Age
- Applicants should not have been born earlier than 02.08.1995 and later than 01.08.2000 i.e, candidates in the age group of 18 - 23 can apply for the exam.
- There is age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen, and other categories of candidates in accordance with the Government orders on the subject.
SSC GD 2023 Educational Qualification
Candidates should have passed Matriculation or X class from a Recognized Indian Board. Candidates satisfying all the above conditions can fill SSC GD 2023 Application Form. The table below shows the age relaxation criteria for different categories of candidates:

06 | Children and dependent on victims killed in the 1984 riots or communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat (SC/ ST) | 10 years |
07 | Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st Jan 1980 to 31st Dec 1989 | 5 years |
Note: Name and Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination or an equivalent certificate will be considered by the commission for determining the age and name of the candidate.
