IInvenTiv - First of its Kind All-IITs R&D Showcase - Launched By Hon. Minister Dharmendra Pradhan

Today, at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Patron-in-Chief of IInvenTiv Shri Dharmendra Pradhan launched IInvenTiv – the first of its kind all-IITs Research & Development Showcase. The Minister also unveiled the IInvenTiv brochure, followed by a visit to the exhibition booths. It is a two-day event, which concludes today, Oct 15, that will unite academia and industry to highlight India's global R&D strength.
Multiple distinguished guests graced the inaugural event on Oct 14 - Mr Sunil Bharti Mittal, Founder and Chairperson Bharti Enterprises, was the Guest of Honour, accompanied by Dr Pawan Goenka, Chairman of Steering Committee IInvenTiv; Dr BVR Mohan Reddy, Co-Chairman of Steering Committee IInvenTiv; and Dr Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director of IIT Bombay, and Convener at Steering Committee IInvenTiv. 
The Research & Development Showcase is being held in conjunction with the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India's independence. Over 300 representatives from industry, including start-ups, as well as government and embassy officials, and global IIT alumni, were in attendance at the fair.
The event featured 75 projects and 6 Showcase projects ranging from fields such as defense and aerospace, healthcare (including devices and digital health), and so on.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan articulated his delight at being a part of this momentous moment, which bears witness to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's mantra of 'Jai Anusandhan' in order to build an Aatmanirbhar Bharat. The education minister also loaded IIT for becoming a symbol of transformation and innovation. He stated that the Indian Institute of Technology has no storehouses of knowledge and experience that will eventually drive into a technologically advanced future.
IInvenTiv is an R&D Fair that is overseen by a Steering Committee. The event brings together all 23 IITs under one roof to showcase their research and innovation expertise to raise awareness about them.
