The National Talent Search Examination was launched in 1963 as the National Science Talent Search Scheme. The examination is carried out in two stages. NTSE Madhya Pradesh stage 1 is a state-level exam conducted by Rajya Shiksha Kendra, Madhya Pradesh, and stage 2 is a national level exam conducted by the National Educational Research and Training Council (NCERT).
NCERT gives a total of 2,000 student scholarships on a merit basis under the NTSE programme. Candidates who qualify for stage 1 will be eligible for the final stage of the examination.

Eligibility Criteria to Apply for NTSE Madhya Pradesh

NTSE Madhya Pradesh Stage 1 Eligibility Criteria
Given below are the eligibility criteria candidates should satisfy before applying for NTSE.
- All 10th standard students studying in any recognised school in Madhya Pradesh are eligible.
- Open school students studying in class 10 may also submit the NTSE form provided that they are under 18 years of age.
- Candidates must have obtained at least 40% in the 9th standard examination (32% for reserved categories).
NTSE Stage 2 Eligibility Criteria
Given below are the eligibility criteria candidates should satisfy before applying for NTSE.
- Candidates must be Indian nationals.
- Candidates must be studying in class 10 in a recognized private or government school in India.
- Unemployed candidates below the age of 18, studying in class 10 from distance learning, are also eligible to apply.
Steps to Register for NTSE Madhya Pradesh
The application form for NTSE Madhya Pradesh 2024 is expected to be available online from November 2024. Students are not required to pay any fees for the Madhya Pradesh NTSE 2024 registration. Candidates must download the NTSE application form 2024 online and submit the completed application form to the heads of the respective schools.
Candidates can apply for NTSE Madhya Pradesh by following the steps given below.
- Candidates first have to download a hard copy of the application from the official website of Rajya Shiksha Kendra.
- After filling out a hard copy of the application form, candidates must get it verified and sealed by their respective schools.
- Once the application form has been verified, students will need to take it to the MP Online Kiosk Centres and arrange an online entry.
- Post the online entry; students receive two sets of receipts. One of them is for the candidates themselves, and the other will be attached to the hard copy of the application form and submitted to their institute.
- Applicants belonging to the reserved category must attach their caste certificates to the NTSE MP application form.
