The clear and virtual vacancy of seats related to the NEET seat matrix denotes the number of seats allocated to the candidates. A clear vacancy means empty seats that are not taken up by the candidates, whereas a virtual vacancy denotes available seats if the students don't opt for upgradation.
Clear vacancy means that the seat is completely vacant or available for new candidates as nobody has taken up the seat in the previous sounds of counselling whereas virtual vacancy means the seat has been vacated later because the candidate that secured that seat has been shifted or upgraded to a better preferred seat.
