Placements and Internships

4

I haven't done any internships but in this college there is a lot more exposure to internships than other colleges. Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, L&T, mahindra, paypal few local companies and lot more hire from the campus. Start-ups are also promoted a lot in and around the campus Avg salary figures are around inr4 lakhs per-year, the highest salary figures are around nr12-20 lakh per-year and about 70% of the batch gets placed in the companies while others go for higher studies. The college has maintained a decent alumni network with its pass-out students.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

5

3 blocks are there each of 15-16 floors. The newly contructed hostels are excellent while the old block is a bit low compared to them. The hostel fees + mess charges are around 1 lakh per year. PGs and flats for rent are available outside the college. I dont have an idea about the cost. The food in the college is very good. It is way better than the food served in other colleges. Quality of classrooms, labs, libraries, etc is wonderful. The college has maintained a very good infrastructure. The surroundings of the college are lush green.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The eligibility criteria for VIT is 60% marks in 12th boards. The admission procedure is that the student must write the VITEEE exam and without which there is no admission for the student. The entrance examination i took was VITEEE the examination is of 125 marks with no negative markings. 90+ is a safe score for the course

Academics and Faculty

4.5

The class timings are to be choosed by the student, Morning classes or afternoon classes. The assignments are to be submitted online. Projects start from the 2nd semester and the examinations conducted are very fair and properly evaluated. Excellent quality and high method of teaching. It is a very overwhelming and wonderful experience overall at the college.

Fees and Scholarships

3.5

The course fee varies from INR1.8 lakh to INR5 lakh per-year based on which category seat you get in the councelling. The categories are based on hike in fees nothing else. The top scorers in VITEEE exam are given free study for 4 years and for upto 1000 rank 25% waiver in fees structure. For a good and settled family there is no requirement of loans.

Clubs and Associations

5

There are a variety of clubs, student societies on campus. TECHNOVIT(tech fest) and VIBRANCE(cultural fest) the life in college is nice. It is very enjoyable here.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Students have to clear VITEEE entrance exam which has no negative marking. Depending upon the performance you're given ranks and called for counseling. Syllabus for VITEE is same as what we were studied in 11th and 12th. Approximately 250-300 students are taken for each branch namely CSE, EEE, ECE, ECM, Mechanical, and CIVIL.
