The Department of Social Welfare under the state government of Chhattisgarh provides CG scholarships for the benefit of Chhattisgarh students. Candidates can apply for the CG scholarships online through the state scholarship portal. Candidates from class I and above can obtain the CG scholarship rewards. The last date to apply for the post-matric CG scholarship for students residing in Chhattisgarh was May 3, 2023.

List of CG Scholarships 

The state government of Chhattisgarh offers several scholarships to its natives. Students from class I and above can apply to the CG scholarships. Given below is a list of popular CG scholarships available to the students of Chhattisgarh:

Eligibility Criteria for CG Scholarships 

The candidates should ensure they fulfil all the requirements before applying for the CG scholarships. The eligibility criteria vary for each scholarship. Tabulated below are the details of the eligibility criteria for different CG scholarships: 

CG Scholarships	Eligibility Criteria
Pre Matric CG Scholarship	The candidates should belong to the SC, ST or OBC categories. Students in classes IX and X can apply to the pre matric CG scholarships. The CG scholarship income limit for the family should not exceed INR 2,00,000 per annum.
CG Post Matric Scholarship	The candidates belonging to the SC, ST or OBC categories can apply. Students should be in classes XI and XII. The CG scholarship income limit for SC/ST families should not exceed INR 2,50,000 per annum. The OBC students annual family income should not be more than INR 1,00,000 per annum.
Disabled Scholarship Scheme	Disabled students, irrespective of their categories, can apply to the CG scholarships. They should be pursuing a regular full-time course in school, college or technical institution. The students should have at least 40% disabilities. The family income should not be more than INR 8,000 each month.
Unclean Business Scholarship Scheme	Students should belong to the SC/ST or OBC categories. Those from class I to class V can apply. The candidates' families should be scavengers, flayers, tanners or waste pickers by occupation. They should provide the family income certificate. However, there is no income limit for this CG scholarship.
Rajya Chatra Vritti Scheme	The students should belong to the SC/ ST or OBC categories. The female students from classes III to V and male students from classes VI to VIII can apply. The family income should not come under the tax bracket. They should not own over ten acres of land.
Chief Minister Gyan Protsahan Initiative Scheme	This chief minister's CG scholarship scheme is available to all students. They should either be in class XI or XII. The candidates should hold good academic merit. They should be studying one of the following boards: Central Board of Secondary Education Board (CBSE) Indian Council Secondary Education (ICSE) Chhattisgarh Secondary Education Board (CGBSE)
Kanya Saksharta Protsahan Yojana	The students should belong to the SC/ST category. This CG scholarship scheme is exclusively available for girls. They should be in class V or above.
DTE Chhattisgarh Scholarship	Students from all categories who have scored at least 60% or more in the class XII board exams can apply. The candidates should study in any of the institutions approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Benefits of CG Scholarships 

The state government of Chandigarh grants financial aid to students. The CG scholarship rewards vary for each scheme. Some schemes will offer monetary benefits, whereas others waive off the candidate's tuition fee. Tabulated below are the benefits of different CG scholarships:

Pre Matric CG Scholarship	The students belonging to the OBC category will receive the following benefits every year: Girls - INR 600 Boys - INR 450 The students belonging to the SC/ST category will receive the following benefits every year: Girls - INR 1,000 Boys - INR 800
CG Post Matric Scholarship	The students from the SC/ST category will receive the following benefits every year: Hostellers - INR 3,800 Non-hostellers - INR 2,250 The OBC category students will receive the following benefits every year: Hostellers - Students in class XI will get INR 1,000, and those in class XII will get INR 1,100. Non-hostellers - Students in class XI will receive INR 600, whereas those pursuing class XII will receive INR 700.
Disabled Scholarship Scheme	The students from class I to class V will receive INR 150. The students in class VI to class VIII will receive INR 170. The candidates between class IX and class XII will receive INR 190.
Unclean Business Scholarship Scheme	The selected candidates will receive a CG scholarship amount of INR 1,850 per annum.
Rajya Chatra Vritti Scheme	The female students between class III and class V will receive INR 500 per annum. The SC/ST category students from class VI to class VIII will receive the following amount every year: Female students - INR 800 Male students - INR 600 The students from the OBC category will receive the following rewards every year: Female students - INR 450 Male students - INR 300
Chief Minister Gyan Protsahan Initiative Scheme	The state government will grant INR 15,000 to the selected students under this CG scholarship 2023 scheme.
Kanya Saksharta Protsahan Yojana	The selected female students will receive INR 500 per annum.
DTE Chhattisgarh Scholarship	The selected students in this scheme will receive INR 2,000 every month.

How to Apply for the CG Scholarships? 

The CG scholarship application procedure differs for the schemes. The candidates can visit the official state Chhattisgarh portal 2.0 to apply for the pre-matric, post-matric, and rajya chatra vritti CG scholarships. 

However, those applying for the kanya saksharta protsahan yojana, unclean business CG scholarship, chief minister gyan protsahan initiative, and disabled CG scholarship schemes should visit the official Chhattisgarh scholarship portal. Candidates who want to apply for the DTE scholarship should send their applications through the post within the CG scholarship's last date for the DTE scheme. 

Application Process Through the State Chhattisgarh Portal 2.0 

The candidates applying for the pre-matric, CG post-matric scholarship, and rajya chatra vritti schemes can apply online. They should visit the official Chhattisgarh State Portal 2.0 website and fill in the application form. However, those applying for the first time should complete the CG scholarship portal registration process. After the registration, they will receive the CG scholarship login credentials. Given below is the application process for the following scholarships:

Step 1: The candidates should visit the official state Chhattisgarh portal 2.0 portal.

Step 2: Firstly, they should complete the CG scholarship portal 2023 registration by clicking on the 'register yourself' button available under the 'students' section. 

Step 3: Next, they should fill in all the details and click on the 'save above details and register me' button. 

Note: After completing the CG scholarship online registration, the candidates will receive the login credentials consisting of an application ID and password on their registered mobile number.

Step 4: Next, they should provide the CG scholarship portal login credentials and click on the 'apply for scholarship' button.

Step 5: The candidates should duly fill in all the details on the application form.

Step 6: They should also attach the mandatory documents, upload a recent photo and update their bank details.

Step 7: After filling in the CG scholarship online form 2023 and attaching the required documents, the candidates should click on the 'register scholarship application form' button.

Step 8: Lastly, they should click on the 'print profile' button and keep a copy of the application form for further use. 

Application Process Through Chhattisgarh Scholarship Portal

Step 5: The head of the institution will send it by post to the district office of social welfare or the janpad panchayat office.

Application Process for DTE Chhattisgarh Scholarship 

The students of Chhattisgarh who are pursuing technical courses can apply to the DTE Chhattisgarh scholarship. The candidates can apply to this CG scholarship online by visiting the official website of DTE (Directorate of Technical Education). Given below is a detailed stepwise process to apply for the DTE Chhattisgarh scholarship: 

Step 1: The candidates should visit the official directorate of technical education for the CG scholarships webpage.

Step 2: They should click on the required link under the 'student scholarship' section and take a printout of the application form. 

Step 3: The candidates should duly fill in the details and send them by post through the head of their institution.

Essential Documents for CG Scholarships

The candidates should contact their district welfare office if the institution is not registered on the portal. Similarly, the candidates can check the list of registered courses and the branches in Chhattisgarh state to receive the CG scholarships' rewards. • Monitoring Dashboard/ Reports - The CG scholarship 2.0 portal also provides an additional feature for the candidates to view the number of applications in different stages. 

• Recover Password - The candidates should note their application ID and password safely for future use. However, if they lose the password, the candidates can click on the recover password button on the CG state scholarship portal 2.0 and reset their password. Upon filing a form, the system will reset the password and send an SMS to the registered mobile number.
