For admission to East Texas Baptist University, graduates from non-accredited colleges or home schools must have a composite ACT score of 18 (excluding the Writing portion), a Math/Verbal composite SAT score of 970 or a composite CLT score of 62. A General Education Diploma (GED) certificate can be submitted by non-high school graduates. For admission, GED students must also have a composite ACT score of 18 (excluding the Writing component), a Math/Verbal composite SAT score of 970, or a composite CLT score of 62.
East Texas Baptist University provides students from all around the country and the world with 43+ undergraduate programs. For all programs, ETBU has the same admissions standards and requirements. However, the entrance requirements for domestic and overseas students differ slightly.

ETBU provides 11 master's degrees in fields such as education, kinesiology, and business administration. Programs are available in both online and offline formats. Four of the 11 programs are available in an online format. The majority of programs have identical entry requirements.

An enrollment deposit is required to reserve a place in the current class. The enrollment deposit is credited to the student's first bill. The enrollment deposit is required before housing assignments will be made and before a student can register for classes. It can be refunded up to the preferred deadline. Admission at East Texas Baptist University is competitive, with a 72 per cent acceptance rate. Half of the ETBU candidates have an SAT score of 890 to 1130 or an ACT score of 17 to 22.
