Morehouse School of Medicine Admissions: Eligibility & Apply

Morehouse School of Medicine offers a Doctor of Medicine degree, as well as graduate programs in biomedical sciences and public health. Because the eligibility conditions for each program differ, there is no one-size-fits-all application process. You must have completed a four-year baccalaureate degree from a recognized undergraduate university in the United States to apply for any program. For all courses, the college application fee is $50. • The TOEFL is a test of English as a Foreign Language that is given to international students whose first language is not English. For foreign medical graduates, a passing score on the ECFMG English test is sufficient

Morehouse School of Medicine Admission Requirement

Applicants must submit a complete application to be eligible for a personal interview at the Morehouse School of Medicine. A full application includes the application form, a $50 non-refundable application fee, photos, official transcripts, official test score reports, personal narrative statements, and reference letters. International applicants must submit TOEFL/ECFMG English test scores as well as a Silny or WES appraisal of their foreign academic qualifications.

Eligibility Criteria for the International Students

• Have a baccalaureate degree from an approved undergraduate institution or the equivalent
• Have a record of outstanding academic accomplishment in natural science undergraduate courses (e.g. biology, chemistry, or physics)
• Provide official Graduate Record Exam results (GRE). It is necessary to take the GRE General exam
• Provide three letters of recommendation, preferably from professors or research supervisors from science courses

Morehouse School of Medicine Application Process for the International Students

The full medical curriculum, a reduced didactic component for the Ph.D. curriculum, and intensive faculty-guided dissertation research in basic and/or clinical sciences are all required for this program. • The MD program is only open to US citizens and permanent residents

• Three letters of recommendation from a Pre-Health adviser or committee, or a composite letter of recommendation
• AMCAS (American Medical College Application Service®) must receive all applications and associated papers

Ph.D. The program, M.S. in Biomedical Research, M.S. in Clinical Research, M.S. in Biomedical Technology

• Complete the GRE. The scores can't be more than 5 years old

M.S. in Medical Sciences

• On a 4.0 scale, a GPA of 3.0 (BCPM of 2.8) or higher is required
• An MCAT score of 490 or above is required
• Recommendation letters in the number of three

B.S./M.S. in Neurosciences

How to Apply?

• Apply to MSM before receiving an admission decision
• Applicants must be Georgia residents who are seniors or recent graduates of a regional university or college in the United States. Students must obtain a baccalaureate degree by August of the previous year before enrolling in medical school
• Have a strong academic record and MCAT results to back it up. The MCAT must be taken no later than the spring of the year in which the student is applying
• Before August 1, submit all relevant credentials to AMCAS

Morehouse School of Medicine Application Deadlines

Beginning May 1st of the year previous to admission, MSM will accept American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) applications for the first-year entering class. All relevant credentials must be submitted to AMCAS by December 1st of the year before admission; this is a receipt date, not a postmark date. • If invited, schedule a personal interview before October 1 on a mutually convenient date
