Eligibility Criteria for BMS College of Engineering

- For General Merit Candidates: To pursue undergraduate programs (BE), candidates must have passed the 2nd PUC / 12th standard or an equivalent examination with English as one of the languages.
- They should have achieved a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry/BioTechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Electronics as optional subjects.
- For SC/ST & OBC (Cat-I, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B) Category Candidates: To pursue undergraduate programs (BE), candidates must have passed the 2nd PUC / 12th standard or an equivalent examination with English as one of the languages.
- They should have attained a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry/BioTechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Electronics as optional subjects.
NOTE:
- In case the marks obtained in Chemistry are insufficient to meet the required aggregate percentage for eligibility, the marks obtained in Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Electronics will be considered as a substitute.
- Candidates need to appear for either the KEA or COMED-K entrance examination. For management admissions, candidates are required to take any one of the specified entrance examinations.
For Three Years Bachelor of Engineering (Lateral Entry)
- Candidates who have passed the Qualifying Examination, which can be a diploma examination or a similar equivalent examination, and have obtained a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in all subjects of the final year (fifth and sixth semesters) of the diploma examination, are eligible for admission to BE courses.
- For SC, ST, and Backward Classes candidates from Karnataka, the minimum required marks in the Qualifying Examination are 40%.
