UVCE is a hub of many technical and non-technical activities evenly spread throughout the year. The devoted faculty is highly qualified, experienced and plays a pivotal role in enthusing the students to achieve remarkable feats. The college infrastructure includes a library, hostel, few clubs etc. The library has an impressive collection of over 1.55 lakhs of books and Journals covering various branches of engineering, general Books and caters to the needs of 5000 students, faculties and staff. Also, the college has an electronic library with the facility for accessing E-Resources i.e. IEEE (POP & CSDL) ASME, ASCE and Springer publication, e-Books full-text access covering all the subjects is available to the users. The college has hostel facilities for boys and girls separately both in the Jnana Bharathi and City Campus.

The Training and Placement Office was started by Dr. M Channa Reddy in 1989 to facilitate campus recruitment for UVCE students. Its mission is to act as a link between the industry and students in order to fulfill the aspiration of the students in securing the right job and to ensure placements for all students of various branches of the college. The academic excellence at UVCE is reflected in its student’s exemplary record in placements in the corporate and engineering sectors.

The Training Programme which is being offered at the institutional level and being facilitated by the Training & Placement Office is aimed at orienting the students with life skills. Career orientation is achieved by training the students on the skills needed for a career in the corporate. It nurtures industry-institute interaction, by organizing and coordinating frequent industrial visits, in-plant training and projects of industrial relevance for the students, with the sole aim of zeroing down the gap between the industry & academia. University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering Eligibility Criteria

University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering Admission

Candidates who qualify in Common Entrance Test (CET) / Aptitude test conducted by Government of Karnataka are eligible to the UnderGraduate Engineering / Architecture courses. The selection of candidates to the college is done by counselling at CET centre by the Government. Admission to UVCE is strictly on the basis of merit. The prospective students willing to apply to the university can refer to the following,

• Once the Announcements of the Final Round Seat Allocation is made in the website  http://kea.kar.nic.in and once the candidate has selected the seat in UVCE, they  need to come down to K R Circle campus.
• Application forms can be obtained from the Admission Office, UVCE on production of few documents as mentioned below.
• Before visiting the UVCE campus for admissions, make sure that the original documents mentioned below are available(and two set of Attested Xerox copies)
• The candidates are advised to have the Xerox copies of the below documents as well (which may be required for an individual's specific category)
• With all the required documents, please visit the campus.
• First step would be to collect the "File as per the Department allotted" from the UVCE Co-Operative Society within the campus (UVCE, K R Circle).
• Please note that Civil & Architecture students are also required to complete their admission process at K R Circle campus only.
• The college authorities will inform you as per the further process for admission once you are ready with the above mentioned duly-filled documents.

• Online fees receipt of Rs. 12500/- (Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Only) paid through the Bangalore University website
• Rs. 1500/- (Thousand Five Hundred only) additional shall be paid by the students who have passed 12th class at boards other than the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka. (They should pay Rs. 14000/- totally).
• It is to be noted that No Cash Transactions at any stage in the college. All fee payments are only through online fee payment.
