The CBSE skill education 2023 is available for students of classes 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th as additional subjects to enhance their core competencies and increase their knowledge on subjects other than elective and language subjects. Introduction
Accordingly, the CBSE Skill Education 2023 requires schools to designate 70% of the time to curricular activities and 30% to theory. CBSE will also make the Skill studies modules available online. Students can opt to attend these Skill Education classes online. Per the latest Board notice on CBSE Skill Education 2023, the Board has declared the addition of new skill subjects in classes 9th and 12th.
Similarly, students can visit the official portal to register for these new subjects. Since the establishment of the CBSE skill education 2023, as directed by the NEP, students can consider the marks of the skills subjects in their ‘Best of 5’ if they are dissatisfied with marks in other subjects.
Children with Special Needs can select one language and any four subjects, including the skilled subject. If students fail in any elective subject, then the skill subject's marks will be considered the 6th additional subject.

The Central Bureau of Secondary Education has also introduced certain new subjects in Class 11 as a part of the CBSE Skill Education 2023 curriculum. Hence, the subjects students can now opt from are Design Thinking and Innovation, Physical Activity Trainer, land transportation and electronics and hardware. Students may now select from a range of 43 skills objects in class 11.
