ICAI Online Registration Eligibility Criteria 2024
Every exam conducting authority has certain criteria for eligibility that candidates are required to satisfy before applying for the examination. ICAI eligibility criteria for candidates who wish to participate in the CA Foundation, Intermediate, or Final exams are as follows:
CA Foundation
- Candidates must have cleared their Class 12 or HSC level exam from a board recognized by the state/central government.
- The candidate must have registered for the foundation course on or before December 31 of the previous year.
Or - The candidate must have converted from CPT to Foundation course with the ICAI before February 1 of that year.
CA Intermediate
- Candidates must have undergone a study course for at least 8 months before appearing for the exam for the first time.
- The candidates are mandated to have cleared their CA Foundation and Class 12 exams.
Or - The candidates must have registered under IPCE and converted to the CA Intermediate course with the ICAI.
Or - In case of direct entry, candidates must have registered for the Intermediate course on or before June 30 of the previous year and must have completed an internship of at least 6 months on or before May 1 of that year.
- Candidates must have registered for the Intermediate course on or before June 30 of the previous year and must have completed a 9-month article ship on or before May 1 of that year.
CA Final
- Candidates are required to have cleared the Intermediate exam under the old or the new scheme and must have completed a 3-year article ship at any CA Firm or company.
- Candidates must have also completed an Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills.
