CA Foundation eligibility criteria 2025 is declared and conducted by the Institute of Charted Accounts Of India (ICAI) to conduct the exam twice a year in May/Jun and November/December.

To avoid the rejection of the application form, the students are advised to have enough knowledge of CA Foundation qualifications. In addition, candidates are advised to check their eligibility criteria before applying for the exam.

Eligibility Criteria for CA Foundation 2025 Exam

A student who has appeared in the Class 12th examination directed by an examining body, established by law in India (or an examination recognized by the Central Government as identical thereto) may enroll for CA Foundation Exam 2025.

A registered student may show up in Foundation Examination once he/ she has qualified for the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination).

A student who has got himself/ herself registered for Foundation Course and has to undergo a minimum of four months study period to meet CA Foundation Eligibility Criteria 2025. Students registered on or before last date will be eligible to write the exam. Students must check the details shared below.

  • Registration: Candidates must have registered themselves with ICAI in order to be eligible for CA Foundation.
  • Age Limit: No upper age limit has been prescribed by the conducting authority for appearing in CA Foundation (CA CPT) test.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidate must have completed Class 10th and Class 12th conducted by any recognized board.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates who have qualified in the Senior Secondary Exam with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks will be able to register themselves for CA Foundation 2025 exam.

CA Foundation 2025 Admit Card will be issued only to those candidates who satisfy CA Foundation eligibility criteria 2025. After verifying their eligibility, Candidates must also get familiar with CA Foundation Syllabus 2025 and CA Foundation Exam Pattern before the exam date.

CA Foundation 2025 Exemptions

UG & PG Candidates Candidates who have an aggregate of 55% marks in graduation or post-graduation degree in Commerce stream or its equivalent from any recognized university will be exempted from CA Foundation 2025.
NIOS Candidates Candidates who have qualified undergraduate or postgraduate degrees from Open University will be exempted from CA Foundation 2025 Exam.
Non-Commerce Candidates Candidates having bachelor's or master's degrees in a stream other than Commerce and have secured an aggregate of least 60% marks or its equivalent from a recognized University will be exempted from CA Foundation 2025 Exam.
