Steps to Fill Out the CPT Application Form 2024

CA CPT Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria

CA CPT Exam Pattern

• Mode: CPT 2024 is an offline exam (pen and paper-based), which requires the student's physical presence in the examination hall.
• Language: CPT 2024 examination can be taken up either in English or Hindi, as the student prefers.
• Question Paper Type: There is one paper consisting of 200 objective-type questions divided into 2 sessions. The session break up is as follows:
  • Session 1: Accounting and Mercantile.

• Type of Questions: The questions are of objective type, i.e., multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
• Marking Scheme: For every correct response, candidates get one mark, and for every wrong response, there is a deduction of 1/4 mark. No marks are deducted for unanswered questions.

CA CPT 2024 Results

CPT results 2024 will be announced by the ICAI soon on the official website. Candidates can check their qualifying status for the Chartered Accountancy Common Proficiency Test online from the official website. The authority will send the scorecards to the candidates at their mailing address by speed post after a few days of the declaration of the result. If candidates do not receive the scorecard, then they must write to the exam helpline of ICAI within 4-5 weeks from the date of the result declaration.

CPT 2024 results will be published in a PDF format, which will have roll numbers and names of the qualified candidates. The published result will also mention the qualifying status of candidates, individual subject marks, and minimum qualifying marks for CA-CPT.

In addition, candidates who obtain a minimum of 70% marks in the CA CPT exam 2024 will receive a “Pass with Distinction” certificate from the ICAI.

CA CPT Exam 2024 Cut Off

CA CPT cut off for 2024 will be announced for all the categories soon after the announcement of the results. CA CPT 2024 Examination Guidelines

Time of CPT Registration: The candidate has to reach the allotted examination centre 30 minutes before the examination to complete the registration formalities well before the time.

Stationery Products: Ensure that the candidate is carrying 2 black ball pens, 3-4 HB pencils, and other requirements for examination. The candidate must mark the responses with an HB pencil and write details with a black ball pen.

Carefully Fill the Circles in the OMR Sheet: Aspirants need to check twice after filling the circles in the OMR sheet and other details in the examination.

Use a Rough Page for Calculations: All calculations should only be done in the rough pages of the question paper. Avoid calculations in any other place.

Scribble Pads: Scribble pads will be provided to the candidates in the examination hall by the invigilators. They should use the same for all rough work.

Response & Marks: The CPT exam is more about confidence and spontaneous decisions. Attempt only those questions in which you are confident. Your every wrong attempt will reduce your marks.

Test Conducted as per Schedule: No candidate will be allowed to leave their seat or the examination hall until the test concludes.

Minimum Attempting of Questions: The candidate should attempt 160 questions with complete confidence than 200 questions with 40 wrong attempts.

Avoid Carrying Expensive Products: Except for the CPT 2024 admit card and identity proof, candidates cannot carry any textual material, electronic watches, printed bits of paper, mobile phones, pagers, or any other device inside the examination room/ hall.
