IIM Placements Process 2025

The IIM placements are conducted in various sections. Such cycles are further discussed below:

1. Summer Placements

In April-May, businesses recruit students for summer internships through summer placements. Students can also receive Pre-placement offers (PPOs) through this platform.

Summer placements typically take place in March over 4-5 days. Students and recruiters must follow a detailed set of rules to participate in this process.

2. Lateral Placements

IIMs offer lateral placements a couple of months before the final placements for students with work experience of at least 18 months in the MBA/PGP program.

3. Final Placements

The final placement process, held between late February and mid-March, is nearly the same across all IIMs, although there are a few minor variations here and there.

IIM Ahmedabad, for instance, follows a cohort-based system rather than a day-based system. Recruiters can gauge students progress over a long time with cohort-based systems.
