5. National Institute of Technology Mizoram
NIT Mizoram is an autonomous institution founded in 2010. According to IIRF 2022, NIT Mizoram is 85th in the B.Tech category. NIT Mizoram offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate degrees. The courses in the institute are affiliated with AICTE.

8. National Institute of Technology Meghalaya
NIT Meghalaya was founded in 2010 as an Institute of National Importance in Shillong. According to the NIRF Ranking 2022, NIT Meghalaya is rated 60th among the finest engineering schools in India. B.Tech is offered by NIT Meghalaya as its flagship program.
The NIT Meghalaya placement process is also effective. For the year 2022, NIT Meghalaya successfully achieved 90% placements.
