NIT B.Tech Fee Waiver for Reserved and Economically Backward Categories

Every NIT offers many fee waivers to ensure that students from the poor and reserved categories can afford to study for a degree. Some common categories that are offered a fee waiver at NITs include the SC/ST/ALL PWD as well as students with an annual family income of INR 5 lakh or below.

In order to avail of the waiver of the tuition fees at NITs, students are required to attach a copy of the Parental Income Certificate for the financial year 2023-2024. Specific guidelines for waiver in NIT B.Tech fee structure for the Open, Open-EWS, and OBC-NCL students are as follows:
