ICAI IPCC registration process 2022 has now begun, the Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) is the intermediate level examination in the CA entrance exam conducted by the ICAI. All the aspirants clearing the CA foundation level exam are eligible for ICAI IPCC registration.
In India, all the chartered accountants will be a part of ICAI and make sure that all the companies of the country have fair accounts and pay the taxes appropriately. The recruitment of the new CAs is also done and controlled by ICAI.
ICAI IPCC Registration Process
If you complete a UG degree in commerce or other related subjects, you will have direct eligibility for IPCC without CPT. But a majority of the candidates choose the first way by clearing the CPT in 6 months or 1 year and getting to IPCC rather than spending 3 years in a UG course and then coming to IPCC.
The step-wise process of IPCC registration is as follows.
- Visit the official website of ICAI or you can visit Getmyuni as we will be updating the direct link for the application form on the official website once the notification is out.
- Click on the "Course registration forms" option, which will be under the student's section on the home page of the official website.
- The candidate has to first register himself by giving his details like Name, Gender, DOB, Email ID, Mobile number, etc.
- You will receive an OTP to the registered mobile number.
- You have to log in with the registered email address and OTP.
- Once you have logged in, you will get a form which will as for the following details: Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Your complete address, City, Pin code, Category, Nationality
- After filling in all the above-mentioned details, the candidates will be asked to update soft copies of all the documents that are required.
- After the documents are updated, you will be asked for the payment of the registration fee.
IPCC Registration Fee
Once the IPCC registration fee is paid, the registration process will be completed. The candidates will be receiving the hall tickets and center codes shortly after the registration process.

IPCC Eligibility
In order to sit for the examination, one must meet all the pointers in the criteria mentioned. If one fails to meet even one of the mentioned, you will be deemed unfit for the examination.
The IPCC can be done in two different ways.
- By clearing the Foundation level exam or CPT.
- By completing your UG degree course under the commerce stream.
- The candidates must have a minimum score of 55% in their UG courses.
- If the candidate has completed intermediate exams of courses like company secretaryship and cost accountancy are also eligible for this IPCC examination.
- The graduation or post-graduation must have at least three of any of the following subjects:
- Accounting
- Auditing
- Mercantile Laws
- Corporate Laws
- Economics
- Management (inc. Financial Management)
- Taxation (inc. Direct Tax Laws and Indirect Tax Laws)
- Costing, Business Administration or Management Accounting (or similar subjects with different nomenclatures)
IPCC Documents Required
Candidates from CPT have to upload a soft copy of the attested 12th mark sheet to submit the application form.
Here is the list of other documents that are required to be updated during the registration procedure.
- Any of the central government recognized exam pass certificates.
- The graduation students without CPT have to upload an attested soft copy of their graduation certificates
- A soft copy of the passport size photograph of the candidate
- An attested soft copy of nationality certificate in case, if the candidate is a foreigner.
- In case of any caste-based reservations, the candidate has to update an attested soft copy of SC/ST or OBC or Differently abled certificates.
IPCC Exam Dates
Due to the pandemic, the IPCC exam for the year 2021 was conducted on 6th July 2021, which was supposed to be conducted in May 2021. The Institution of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has now been released.

IPCC Exam Pattern
The IPCC exam covers a total of 7 subjects. And these 7 subjects are divided into two groups respectively.
Below are the details of the IPCC exam pattern.
- The two groups include Group 1 and 2.
- Group 1 has 4 subjects and group 2 has 3 subjects.
- Accounting, Laws, ethics and communication, Cost accounting and Financial Management, and Taxation are the subjects in Group 1
- Advanced Accounting, Auditing and Assurance, and Information Technology and Strategic Management are subjects in Group 2.
- Group 1 is for a total of 400 marks with 100 marks for each subject. Candidates have to achieve at least 50% out of the total marks of 400 and also have to pass in each subject
- If the candidate passes in all the subjects but fails to 50% aggregate out of 400, the candidates have to give reattempt for all the 4 subjects.
- If the candidate achieves the 50% aggregate score but failed to pass in a single subject, then also the candidate have to reattempt all the subjects again.
- Group 2 is for the toa marks of 300 with each subject carrying 100 marks each.
- The conditions for group 2 are also the same as that of group 2.
Note: Candidates will have the option to attempt each group at a time and also to attempt both groups at once.

The exam contains 7 papers, and each paper is topic-specific. The papers are divided into two groups, papers 1 to 4 into group 1 and papers from 5 to 7 into group 2 respectively. Each paper carries 100 marks.

What is IPPC?
ICAI refers to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in India. This institute is a government body that looks after and controls all the chartered accountants in the country. The CA exams are categorized based on the level of the subject that they test in a candidate.
The course of CA is very different from other courses. It course does not follow the semester system and does not have a fixed period to complete the course. The CA course in India is considered to be one of the toughest courses to crack. The candidates are filtered, based on three levels of exams that the ICAI conducts two times a year. These exams are considered to be very tough and a lot of students with commerce backgrounds appear in these exams.
