How is JEE Advanced 2023 Marks vs Rank List Determined?

In the JEE Advanced test, each paper (Paper 1 and Paper 2) has a maximum of 180 marks, for a total of 360 (180 in each paper). Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics have a maximum mark of 120 (60 in each paper).

The ranking is based on the total aggregate score out of 360. In the event of a tie among two or more candidates, the following tie-breaking rules will be used:

• Candidates with higher positive marks will receive a higher ranking.
• If a tie exists, the candidate with the higher Mathematics score will be ranked higher.
• If the tie remains, the candidate with higher Physics scores will be given a higher position.
• If there is still a tie after applying these criteria, the applicants will be assigned the same rank.
