How is JEE Advanced 2023 Marks vs Rank List Determined?
In the JEE Advanced test, each paper (Paper 1 and Paper 2) has a maximum of 180 marks, for a total of 360 (180 in each paper). Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics have a maximum mark of 120 (60 in each paper).
The ranking is based on the total aggregate score out of 360. In the event of a tie among two or more candidates, the following tie-breaking rules will be used:
- Candidates with higher positive marks will receive a higher ranking.
- If a tie exists, the candidate with the higher Mathematics score will be ranked higher.

- If there is still a tie after applying these criteria, the applicants will be assigned the same rank.
The exact marks necessary to achieve a given rank in JEE Advanced 2023 can vary depending on several factors:
- Total number of candidates registered for the JEE Advanced exam.
- The total number of questions included in the paper.
