IIT Kharagpur course admissions for the 2026 academic session are conducted primarily through national-level entrance examinations, followed by structured centralized counselling processes. IIT Kharagpur Placements 

The IIT Kharagpur 2025–26 placement season has opened on an exceptionally strong note. Within the first few days of the drive, 5 students secured job offers exceeding INR 2 crore annually. Reports indicate that the highest package so far stands at ₹2.5 crore per year, making it one of the most significant offers across IITs this year.

A large number of recruiters from both India and abroad have participated in the process. By the end of Day 3, the institute had recorded 1,170 domestic offers along with 10 international offers.
