B.Arch [Bachelor of Architecture] Details

IIT Kharagpur B.Arch is a five-year program. Students who have qualified for JEE Main (paper-II) followed by JEE Advanced are eligible to apply. IIT Kharagpur B.Arch Eligibility Criteria

IIT Kharagpur B.Arch Admission

Admission into the B.Arch is based on the students meeting the essential eligibility criteria set by the college. Students who have qualified for JEE Main (paper-II) followed by JEE Advanced are eligible to apply. Aspirants qualifying for JEE Advanced need to qualify Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) conducted by IIT Kharagpur for admission to the BArch program, followed by JoSAA counseling. 

Application Procedure 

Once the result is out, if you qualify for the cut-off for admission to the B.Arch program at IIT Kharagpur, you will receive a notification for counseling from the college itself. Candidates must follow the given below steps to register for AAT 2022.

• Step 1: Visit the official website of JEE Advanced and log in using the JEE Main Registration Number, Date of Birth, and Password.
• Step 2: Select the ‘Yes’ corresponding to the ‘Would you like to register for AAT 2022?’ label, and click ‘Proceed.’
• Step 3: Select a preferred exam center from the list of seven IITs.
• Step 4: Click the ‘Fill Registration Details’ button and carefully fill in all the required information in the registration form. 
• Step 5: Click ‘Submit.’

Take a printout of the acknowledgment screen to be used for future reference.

Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship

These scholarships are awarded from the Institute funds. The Institute awards scholarships on the basis of merit-cum-means to all eligible students The rules and regulations of IIT Kharagpur merit scholarships are as follows –

• All students admitted to any of the courses offered by IIT Kharagpur, except the students belonging to SC and ST (who are eligible for Post Matric Scholarship of their respective State Governments), shall be eligible for the award of the Merit-Cum-Means (MCM) scholarship.
• These scholarships will be awarded to not more than 25% of the students admitted each year to the Undergraduate and Dual Degree courses of IIT Kharagpur.
• For subsequent renewals, the student’s performance in the two consecutive semesters of the preceding session, i.e. GPA, as updated after the supplementary/summer quarter examination, must not be lower than 7.00. Students will eligible for Merit-cum-Means (MCM) and other Institute Scholarships even if EAA is not completed.
• Apart from the above, IIT Kharagpur provides partial financial assistance to students enrolled in dual degree programmes and M.Sc programmes.
