What Qualification is Required for KTET Certificate Verification?
KTET certificate verification qualification is that a student must score 60% or more in the KTET exam. There will be no negative marking on the KTET exam, and the reserved category & physically challenged students will receive a 5% relaxation. What is the Eligibility for KTET Certificate Verification?
KTET-qualifying students must acknowledge that the KTET exam is held for four teaching categories, and there is no age limit. Every teaching category has its own KTET eligibility for certificate verification. Below are the eligibility criteria for KTET certificate verification for different categories.
- Category 1 & 2: A minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 or equivalent. Students must possess a TTC qualifying certificate issued from Kerala Board.A minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 or equal, along with a qualifying 2-year diploma in elementary education by NCTE. A minimum of 50% marks in 12th/10+2 or equivalent and a degree in B.El.Ed.A minimum of 50% marks in Higher Secondary or its equivalent and a 2-year Diploma in Special Education.
- Category 3: A minimum of 45% marks in B.A/B.Sc/B.Com degree and a B.Ed. Degree in the preferred subject from Kerala University or equivalent. A minimum of 50% marks in MSc.Ed. in any subject for applying for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology from regional institutes sponsored by NCERT. A minimum of 50% marks in MSc.Ed. in Life Science for Botany and Zoology from regional institutes sponsored by NCERT.
- Category 4: An acquired qualification for the positions of Language Teachers, Specialist Teachers, and Physical Education Teachers as outlined in Chapter XXXI of the Kerala Education Act. Students must possess a certificate/diploma/degree in teaching in any subject that is approved by Universities/NCTE/ Board of Examinations/ Kerala Government.

KTET Certificate Verification Validity
KTET certificate is valid for a lifetime after being obtained through the KTET certificate verification process. Previously, the KTET certificate was valid for seven years, but after June 3, 2021, it is valid for a lifetime, along with KTET results. Thus, candidates, after obtaining the KTET certificate through the KTET certificate verification procedure, will be eligible to teach in private and public schools in Kerala.

KTET Certificate Rectification Process
Students must visit the official website and apply for the certificate rectification within a stipulated period. They must submit a demand draft by paying INR 100 and send the application to the Secretary Examination Regulatory Authority, Kerala. Students must rectify their KTET certificate within three months of the issue date, or else they will have to pay a fine of INR 100 for requesting it after 3 months.
Simultaneously, they will have to pay INR 300 for 6 months and INR 600 fine for 12 months. Candidates must acknowledge that they must get KTET certificate dispensaries rectified within two years from the date of issue, or else their application will not be entertained.
