Vellore Institute of Technology is a private and one of the finest universities in India. Dr. G. Vishwanathan, a former Parliamentarian, and Minister of Tamil Nadu, established this institute in 1984.
There are four VIT campuses located at Vellore, Amravati, Bhopal, and Chennai. This university offers 64 undergraduates, 35 postgraduates, 16 integrated programs, and research programs.
VIT Vellore
The Government of India refers to VIT Vellore as the Institute of Eminence. VIT Vellore is one of the top private universities for innovation as recognized by ARIIA, Govt of India. Initially, it was named Vellore Engineering College.

VIT Chennai
VIT Chennai was established in 2010, located in Chennai, India. VIT Amaravati

VIT Bhopal

Admission Process For VIT Colleges
The students can check out the admission process 2025 for VIT colleges so they can get into one of the top Engineering colleges in India. The following pointers give a detailed description of the admission process for VIT colleges.
- The students must score the board cutoff marks stipulated by the VIT colleges based on the chosen courses.
- The students must appear and pass either the JEE Main entrance exam or the VITEEE entrance exam to apply for any Engineering courses on VIT campuses.
- The students will be attending the counseling session after the board results and the entrance exam results are announced.
- The application form for VIT campuses starts in Nov 2024 and closes in Apr 2025.
- VITEEE 2025 will be conducted from April 20 to April 27, 2025.
- VITMEE 2025 results for M.Tech and MCA will be declared in May 2025.
- The application process for VIT is online mode only. Therefore, the students have to submit all the necessary documents, such as scorecards, mark sheets, community certificates, etc, while applying for their desired courses.
- The VITMEE counselling process 2025 will be conducted in May 2025, when the students have to be prepared with all the required details to get into any of the VIT campuses based on their scores.
