Sam Pitroda
Sam Pitroda is the father of India's Computer and IT Revolution, an engineer, and an entrepreneur by profession. He completed his graduation in Physics and Electronics from Maharaja Sayajirao University and later went to the US to finish his master's in Electrical Engineering. He is credited with the invention of the Electronic Diary in 1975 and has many patents in telecommunication in his name. He founded the Center for the Development of Telematics and was appointed as advisor to the late PM Rajiv Gandhi.
He established the National Innovation Council in 2010 and was appointed as its chairman. He is currently the chairperson of the Indian Overseas Congress. He has been honoured with several awards, including the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award in 2000, Padma Bhushan in 2009, World Telecommunication and Information Society Award, International Telecommunication Union, 2011 for his notable efforts in the field of telecommunications.

Venki Ramakrishnan
Turning failure into success, Mr Ramakrishnan, who once could not find a job as a faculty member in around 50 Universities to which he had applied, continued his research on ribosomes. This ultimately resulted in him winning the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2009 for dedicated research in the field. He was appointed as the President of the Royal Society from 2015-2020. He is presently engaged as a Professor at the Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology on the Cambridge Biomedical Council, England. He is a fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge, and Indian National Science Academy. He is a staunch believer that problems like climate change, food security, and diseases cannot be dealt with in isolation by any country.
He was conferred Padma Vibhushan in 2010, Sir Hans Krebs Medal by FEBS. By being knighted in 2012 New Years Honours, this gentleman has the right to use the title "Sir", which he does not. He was also awarded the Golden Plate Award of the American Academy of Achievement.

The man who invented the USB, the AGP, and several other widespread devices, Ajay Bhatt, is a computer architect who works as the Platform Architect in Intel. He is extremely famous and has over 100 patents to his name in computer devices. In addition, Ajay is the recipient of the Achievement in Excellence award for his work in the PCI express specification platform.
Ajay was part of the Distinguished Lecture series taking part in the USA and Asia. He was awarded the Outstanding Achievement in Science & Technology award in London. He is one of the top influential Indians globally and rose to fame for his co-invention of the USB.

Gulam Mohammed Sheikh
A holder of Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan for his artworks, Gulam Mohammed Sheikh, is a Gujarati painter, poet, and art critic. He is a faculty of MS University Baroda, from where he did his education. He has taught art, art history, and painting to students as a part of the Fine Arts Department. Gulam's paintings are displayed all over the world, including London, Salem, etc. His work, Athwa, a collection of Gujarati poems, made him internationally acclaimed for his prose and style.
Gulam rejected the advent of abstraction in art and focused on narrative, a movement he spearheaded in India. He is one of the most influential Indian poets and art critics for the past four decades. His immense fame is a result of his capabilities and his passion for art.

Vijay P. Bhatkar
Vijay is the architect of the PARAM supercomputers, the leading man in the Indian supercomputing initiative, and a world-famous computer scientist. He is currently the chancellor of Nalanda University and is working on developing the Exascale Supercomputing mission for India. Vijay developed the first Indian Supercomputer Param and its later versions too. He founded C-DAC and other institutions for computer science and research in India.
Vijay is the recipient of Padma Shri and the Padmabhushan for his role in developing the Indian supercomputing initiative. He was the Electronics Man of the Year in 1992 and also won the prestigious Petersburg Prize. He is truly an alum to be proud of.

Srimanthula Chandramohan
An artist known for his views on freedom of expression, Chandramohan is a painter whose works have been displayed all over India. He has been commissioned to paint numerous paintings and has received several national and global awards. However, he was part of a controversy, where his paintings as a student of MSU Baroda attracted the ire of a few important people. Though they attempted to have those paintings removed, the art community came out in widespread support of Chandramohan, and the issue was resolved.
His works have received the Lalit Kala Akademi National Exhibition award and, recently, the Bhopal Biennale. He is one of the most promising artists of India, though the controversy of his student years has continued to haunt him even now.

Vihang A. Naik
A famous poet from Gujarat, Vihand has written many poems and translated many more into English. He was also a professor in many colleges of North Gujarat for a time, though he retired recently in 2019. Vihang completed both his graduation and postgraduation from Maharaja Sayajirao University in Fine Arts. His poem Self Record entered the Limca Book of Records, consisting of only five blank pages.
