TANCET Rank List 2025 will be released by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Tamil Nadu on the official website tancet.annauniv.edu. The TANCET 2025 Rank List will be announced after the declaration of the TANCET results 2025 on or before April 24, 2025.

Candidates can download the rank list and TANCET 2025 scorecard from the official portal by entering their login details. TANCET merit list 2025 includes the names of the candidates, ranks, application number, percentile score, date of birth, community, and community rank.

In addition, the exam conducting body will prepare three separate merit lists: the TANCET exam merit list, the sponsored category merit list and the GATE category merit list. Candidates whose name is enlisted in the TANCET rank list are eligible to participate in the TANCET counselling 2025.

What is TANCET Rank List 2025?

The rank list is announced after the declaration of the result for each exam. The names of candidates who have passed the TANCET 2025 exam will be mentioned in the rank list. Based on the ranks secured by the individual candidates, the seat will be allotted. Furthermore, these candidates are eligible to participate in the TANCET counselling session for admission to MBA and MCA programs in the top colleges. How TANCET Rank List 2025 is Prepared?

TANCET rank list 2025 is prepared based on the scores of the candidates secured in the TANCET exam 2025. The marks are allocated based on the marking scheme provided by Anna University. 

As per the marking scheme, one mark is awarded for the correct answer, and ¼ marks is deducted for the incorrect answer. 

The highest scorer will be awarded first rank. The top college accepts the TANCET score as one of the eligibility criteria for admission to the MBA/MCA program.

Different Types of TANCET Merit List 2025

TANCET merit list is prepared by the Anna Univeristy. There are three kinds of TANCET merit lists announced on the official portal. Students can go through the three types of TANCET merit lists below. 

• TANCET Merit List 2025: Based on the marks secured by the students in the exam, the marks are allotted. The names listed on the merit list are invited to participate in the further admission process.
• GATE Category Merit List: Under this category, the GATE 2025 and TANCET 2025 scores are considered to prepare the merit list.
• Sponsored Category Merit List: Under this category, few seats are reserved for candidates who have served in government-aided institutes, registered professional architects, or any government organisation for five years.

 The merit list is prepared based on the TANCET exam score. 

TANCET Tie Break Criteria 2025

Sometimes, two or more candidates scored the same marks and percentile in the exam. In such a situation, tie and break criteria are adopted while preparing the merit list. 

The Directorate of Technical Education has set a policy for tie-break criteria. Students can go to the requirements below. 

• The older candidate, as per the DOB mentioned in the 10th certificate, will be given the preference.
• Candidates with a higher average percentage of marks from the previous qualifying examination will be allotted by the top rank.
