Training Program :

ACTREC offers an active Training Program which plays a vital role in creating in the minds of bright, young students an awareness about cutting-edge research carried out at the Centre, and the opportunities available for pursuing cancer research as a career. During the training, students get to work on small scientific queries under the close supervision of scientists and clinicians of the Centre. ACTREC also accepts staff or doctoral students of academic/ research institutions either as observers or as trainees, to learn specific techniques/ technologies that they can then put into use in their parent institution. Training requests from individuals who have completed academic studies and who wish to get exposure to the research milieu are also accepted.

Doctoral Program :

ACTREC offers the Ph.D. degree in the Life Sciences from the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), a deemed University established by the Department of Atomic Energy.
The Ph.D. students at ACTREC undertake basic and translational research in Cancer Biology. Specific research topics include study of cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, metastasis, tumor immunology, molecular imaging, carcinogenesis, stem cell biology, biophysics, structural biology, bioinformatics, proteomics, genomics, genetics and epigenetics.
