Mahatma Gandhi Mission Institute of Health Sciences, [MGMIOHS] Mumbai is a deemed college established in the year 1982 by Hon. Shri Kamalkishore Kadam. It is approved by the University Grant Commission [UGC], Medical Council of India [MCI], and Ministry of Human Resource and Development [MHRD]. The college is focused on providing quality Health Care Services and better quality of Higher Education in Health Care.

It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council [NAAC] as 'A' Grade and National Institutional Research Framework [NIRF]. The Institute also aims for setting up a research center to carry on projects for advancing safe, affordable, and better ways of diagnosing diseases. Mahatma Gandhi Mission Institute of Health Sciences admissions is based on scores in qualifying the examinations. The Institute has set up and established its own committees, prominently including the Academic Council, Selection Committee, Finance Committee, Planning and Monitoring Board, Faculty of Medicine, and the Grievance Committee.
