Overview

The university has seven colleges, seventeen research centers, and six extension education institutes in nine districts of Gujarat: Ahmedabad, Anand, Dahod, Kheda, Panchmahal, Vadodara, Mahisagar, Botad, and Chhotaudepur. Recognized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), it offers approximately twenty-five programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels.

Anand Agricultural University provides more than 68 courses. Its admission is mainly merit-based on the latest qualifying exam, although some courses have entrance exams also considered, such as GSAUCA, GUJCET, and ICAR AIEEA. Anand Agricultural University: Admission & Eligibility

Anand Agricultural University is now open for fresh admissions in 2024. The university offers undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses, doctoral courses, and other diploma courses in the branches of engineering, business, management, and science. Admission there is through national and state-level entrance exams, such as ICAR AIEEA and GUJCET. The application form of GUJCET 2025 for BTech and BPharma courses would be available from January 25, 2025, with the exam date to be scheduled on March 23, 2025. Admission is through the online mode, and registration can be done through the website. The popular programs at GUJCET 2025 include BTech, BVSC, and MTech.

Anand Agricultural University: Cutoff

Anand Agricultural University accepts GUJCET scores for admission to courses such as B.E./B. Tech, BSc, and BVSC. The GUJCET 2024 exam date has been announced, and the results will be declared by the last week of April. For reference, the 2023 NEET last round closing rank for BVSC and Animal Husbandry was 97862.

Anand Agricultural University: Placement (2023 - 2024)

The average package for Anand Agricultural University placements in 2024 has not yet been disclosed and will be updated once available. During the 2023 placements, as per the NIRF 2024 report, 236 BTech/BSc and 77 PG (2-year) students were successfully placed. The median package for BTech/BSc students was INR 4 LPA, while PG (2-year) students secured a median package of INR 7 LPA. Notably, a 12% increase in the placement rate for PG (2-year) courses was observed compared to 2022, although the median package for BTech/BSc dropped by 18%.

Anand Agricultural University: Ranking

Anand Agricultural University has always been ranked among the top institutions in India. According to NIRF, its overall ranking was 151 out of 200 colleges in 2023, while earlier it ranked 96 out of 200 in the year 2019. The university ranked 23rd among 40 colleges in India under Agriculture in 2024 and 18th out of 40 in 2023. Besides that, the university stood with 4th rank out of 25 colleges in India under the NIRF Innovation category in the year 2020.

Anand Agricultural University: ScholarShip

Several scholarships are available at Anand Agricultural University to support the students.The ICAR National Talent Scholarship (NTS) offers 2000/- per month to the students from other states nominated by ICAR based on merit and a written test. Merit cum Means Scholarship (MCM) offers Rs. 500/- per month to UG students whose parents have an annual income below Rs. 1 lakh. AAU also gives 10% of the UG students in each faculty a stipend of Rs. 500/- per month and Rs. 1500/- and Rs. 2000/- per month to the master's and Ph.D. students, respectively, merit-based.

Anand Agricultural University is spread over 63 acres of land amidst natural surroundings. Some infrastructural facilities include a library, hostel, sports facilities, classrooms, lecture theatres, auditorium, laboratories, and canteen. The university offers modern facilities for holistic development. 

Anand Agricultural University offers hostel accommodation based on availability. It has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. 24 boys' and 11 girls' hostels are available across its campuses, and the rooms are furnished with the necessary amenities.
