ASB - Asian School of Business Scholarship Details

Asian School of Business, Trivandrum imparts the principles of global learning and aims to create future leaders and Business tycoons. The institute offers scholarships to students based on merit, children of defense officers, etc. Further details on the ASB Trivandrum scholarship are given below.

GMT Foundation Scholarship

• GMT foundation Scholarship offered by the Asian School of Business Trivandrum is awarded to one student per batch. The scholarship provides Rs. 1.5 lakhs disbursed over two years at the rate of Rs. 75,000.00 per year. The student must secure at least 80% marks in school and a degree to be eligible for the scholarship. If there is more than one eligible candidate, the selection will be based on merit and performance in extracurricular activities. To remain eligible for the second year, the person should score at least 75% in the first year of MBA examinations.

Merit Scholarship 

• This Asian School of Business Trivandrum scholarship offers a 50% academic fee concession to students with a call letter from the IIMs, XLRI, MDI, IMI, IMTs, TAPMI, GIM, Great Lake and IITs, or any top 30 management institute. Still, it could not get selected or opted not to join these institutes upon presentation and verification of the call letters. The management will decide the ranking criteria as the scholarship is only offered to the top 3 rank holders of any university.

Merit cum Need Scholarship 

• If you have a university rank of 1st, 2nd, or 3rd position and a score above 70 percentiles in one of the qualifying examinations mentioned above but are unable to procure a loan for want of CIBIL score or not having a co-borrower who is alive, you can seek a full fee waiver based on a special application to the President of ASB Society. 

Diversity Scholarship 

• This ASB Trivandrum scholarship offers a 10% of academic fee concession for students from other states. The scholarship is confined to 3 students per state and 1 per union territory per year. The scholarship is primarily awarded based on merit and academic performance in school, college, and contribution to extracurricular activities such as NCC, NSS, etc.

Scholarship for Children of Protectors of the Nation

• A 10% scholarship on the academic fee is provided to children of Defence personnel (Army, Navy, Air force), BSF, CRPF, Assam Rifles, Border Road Organization, central security forces, Intelligence forces deployed for border security, or J&K police. In addition, also if students fall in a category similar to these are accepted. The scholarship applies to the wards even if the parent has retired from the above services and can be raised to 30% of students who are the ward of someone from the above category, killed in action, or have a disability above 40%. The scholarships are only provided to 5 students per year based on admission merit plus performance in academics in school and college and contribution to extracurricular activities such as NCC, NSS, etc.

Education Loan Details

• Almost all the banks provide educational loans for study in ASB Trivandrum, and most of the students have been availing loans. Educational loans cover the tuition fees, hostel fee, cost of books, examination fee and can even cover the cost of purchasing a two-wheeler for educational purposes.
