The University of Cochin, established in 1971, was renamed Cochin University of Science and Technology(CUSAT), in February 1986 to acquire higher education with particular emphasis on postgraduate studies and research in technology, applied science, commerce, and business. The UGC and AICTE recognised CUSAT. The CUSAT courses consist of 53 postgraduate, 14 undergraduates, 9 M.Phil, and PhD courses. It offers specialisations in all departments for research and higher studies.  The University offers knowledge through its various training, instruction, research, development, and extension methods. NAAC has accredited the university with a Grade 'A'. Cochin University of Science and Technology Admission brings together students from all over the country and abroad for a high-quality education.

CUSAT Departments

CUSAT has various departments which offer courses in engineering, science, law. Students can study Ph.D, M.Tech, M.A, M.Sc, LLM, MCA, MBA etc in different departments. Given below are some of the departments offered by CUSAT:

CUSAT Admission 

CUSAT admission 2022 is open for the academic year 2022.  Admission is based on the entrance examinations like CAT, DAT, LET, GATE, MAT, CAT(IIM). Students can take admission to Cochin University of Science and Technology by filling up the online admission application form with the correct details on the official website. CUSAT registration is done online before filling up the application form. Cochin University of Science and Technology B.Tech and M.Tech Admission depends upon the eligibility and Common Admission Test(CAT) and GATE ranks, respectively. CUSAT MBA admission 2024 depends upon the marks scored in KMAT/CMAT/CAT(IIM) examination. CUSAT Ph.D admission 2024 depends upon the Design Aptitude Test.

CUSAT Eligibility Criteria

Cochin University of Science and Technology offers numerous courses. Admission is based upon strict eligibility criteria and students have to keep this in mind while filling the application form, failing to which students are not allowed to take admission. B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects. 
• The candidate should have a valid test score of the Common Admission Test conducted by the university.

M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have passed the B.Tech degree program from a recognized university with an aggregate of 50% marks.
• A valid test score in the GATE exam.

MBA Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have passed bachelor degree with an aggregate of 50% marks from a recognised university. 
• A valid test score in the KMAT/CAT(IIM)/C-MAT exam.

CUSAT Cut Off

CUSAT cut off 2022 will be released after the results of the CAT, DAT, LET, GATE, MAT, CAT(IIM) 2022 exam will be out. The university releases a cut-off every academic year for various courses during admission time. Candidates looking for admissions in courses like B.tech, B.sc, B.Voc, M.Sc, M.Voc, M.A, MCA, LL.M, M.F.Sc are required to meet the cut off score of CUSAT CAT to become eligible.

CUSAT Result

CUSAT admission results for various courses will be announced after the results of CAT, DAT, LET, GATE, MAT, CAT(IIM) 2022 will be announced. Common Admission Test results will be announced after June 2024, students can check the results on the official website of the university. The announcement of the commencement of classes after the declaration of the result will be notified on the website.

CUSAT Infrastructure

CUSAT campus offers world-class conveniences for students to complement a better learning environment. Facilities like canteen, auditorium, hostel, laboratories,  research centres etc are present on the campus. The library has a collection of 95000 reference books, back volumes of periodicals and doctoral postulations, licenses, 92 unfamiliar print diaries, 51 Indian Journals, CD-ROM, and so forth. A separate accommodation facility for male and female students are provided at the facility. There are 4 inns for boys, with 600 beds, and 5 inns for girls, with 700 beds. The hostel provides basic facilities like water, electricity, mess, etc for students.

CUSAT Placement

CUSAT placement cell coordinates placement activities for students of every department. It works as the link between the recruiters and students, and are responsible for carrying out all the in-campus placement activities. There is a provision of the pre-placement offer for students who are pursuing an internship. According to the recent placement reports of 2022, the average salary offered to students is INR 4.3 LPA and the highest salary is INR 40 LPA.
