Entrance Exams & Admissions : I am a student of second year B. Sc (H) in the comp. Sc. In Asutosh college. The atmosphere of my college is student-friendly. I haven't been faced any kind of ragging by senior students instead I had them whenever I needed them. The faculties are so helpful. They interact with their students so easily so that the bonding between students and teachers becomes friendly. Coming to the entrance exam. I haven't given any entrance to get into my college. All I had was a result of my higher secondary examination and on the basis of that result, I was enlisted in the first merit list published by the college. The college publishes more than one merit list after a certain no. of days. I was enlisted in the first merit list. The cutoffs are really high because Ashutosh college is ranked one college under Calcutta University. Therefore there's tough competition for every stream. You have to score at least 80% to get your name on that merit list at first attempt. There is plenty of space on the college premises and a lot of buildings where classes are attempted. The laboratories are air-conditioned so that you don't have to be so wet doing some kind of research works. The libraries are pretty big that it can provide any kind of book you need. There are three libraries in total, one in the main building and one in another building known as ACTC building. So yes, I can assure you that you won't regret making the decision to take your three-year bachelor course at Asutosh College.

Fees & Scholarships : The fees are moderate according to the stream you select. As the college provides you all the requirements you need to advance in your study so the fees can be higher in some cases where lab works are involved. So yes there is a chance that you enlarge your eyes after knowing the fees.

Academics & Faculty : It has no doubt that the teachers provide their best efforts to make a suitable routine for their students so that there occurs no kind of class overlaps and also there happens to be enough no. of classes to have you at the right end of the syllabus. One thing he mentioned, if requested by the majority of a class, the routine may be changed as per student requirements. Wondering about how they teach? Well, there is a student-friendly environment between teachers and students. They interact with you, teach you and also learn from you. A teacher is always learning and may learn from their students too. So never hesitate to ask a teacher what is 2+2 equal to because they never get tired clearing your doubts. Assignments, projects. This kind of thing isn't so hectic in Ashutosh college because these are meant to be the fun thing and you get full support from your teachers in these things. So never get worried about how you are gonna complete your assignments by the deadline.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Coming to the point of hostels, there are two hostels for boys and girls and Ashutosh college is the only college owning its own hostels in the south Calcutta. There is a whole list of facilities that Ashutosh college offers to its students. You can find it on their official website. Some of the facilities are a gymnasium, playground, canteen, anti-ragging cell, Adventure club, cultural wing and many more. So in the department of infrastructure, Ashutosh college has the lead.

From study materials to study notes, from exam information to college festivals, they are the resource of anything you need. So you need not think twice to nock them for help. In the section of festivals, Ashutosh college organizes numerous festivals from a science seminar to annual sports. Not only that but also the student union organizes their own festivals throughout the whole year. The college publishes a magazine every year where you can show your hidden talents. College union organizes plenty of competition through the year where you can participate and be the well-known face of college. Besides this, the college has a well connected with other colleges so you can get opportunities to show your talents in other colleges too.
