The Balaji Institute of International Business or BIIB Pune was established in 2003 under the Sri Balaji Society. The All India Council for Technical Education [AICTE], Ministry of Human Resources, Government of India approved the Balaji Institute of International Business in 2006. BIIB Pune is one of the fastest-growing management schools in the country. One of India's fastest-growing international business schools, it holds a "NAAC A++" grade.

Balaji Institute of International Business offers Postgraduate and doctorate-level management courses. The institute's most popular course is the MBA program. Admission to the MBA program is based on CAT/MAT/XAT/ MAH-CET results and the PhD program is based on SBUP-PET/UGC NET (JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (JRF)/SET/GATE/SLET.

The institute is renowned for its outstanding placements and competitive environment. According to the last placement report by the institute, the average package offered in 2022 was INR 6.5 LPA, while the highest package recorded was INR 14 LPA.
