The Balaji Institute of Modern Management (BIMM), Pune was established in 1999.  In 2006, it moved from its then location in Yerwada, Pune to its current location in Tathwade, Pune. The institute aims in providing quality education.

The college enables its students to make a name for themselves as managers, leaders in the corporate world and, and entrepreneurs. BIMM is the oldest institute compared to the other four institutes of the college. DR. (Col.) A. Balasubramanian, the founding father of the society is a powerhouse of knowledge and energy. The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, in the same year.

These institutes are all offering AICTE approved PGDM courses. They all strive to create dynamic student managers who can easily adapt to the challenging and changing corporate environment. All four institutes are located on the same campus and have infrastructure facilities that are conducive for an enhanced learning experience. • The institute has collaborated with Phillip Capital India for joint training and placements of selected students to award them with corporate experience. 
• At the beginning of the academic session, Phillip Capital India will hire at least 2 candidates as Management Trainees.
• Students at BIMM Pune have to take an internship course called Company Project Studies (CPS) for 2 months. 
• After the internship, depending on their performance, companies may offer a  Pre-placement offer to the students.
• BIMM placement cell has placed 337 students which is equivalent to 95% of the total students of the final year.

Balaji Institute of Modern Management Eligibility Criteria:

Balaji Pune offers multiple specializations to its students in the Post Graduate Diploma Course (PGDM) which is under Management discipline. The courses have certain eligibility criteria which are required to take admission in that particular course. The eligibility criteria are mentioned below.

BIMM Admissions:

• The admissions are based on past academic merit, scores in qualifying exams, and past work experience (if applicable).
• Performance in the GD, PI, and Essay writing will also be considered.
• Students should pay INR 1,500/- for the application form through Demand Draft or cash.
• Candidates can apply either through online mode or offline mode.

Balaji Institute of Modern Management Hostel Details:

• The college provides separate hostels for boys and girls, on the first come first serve basis.
• The BIMM facilities are provided for students to study, relax and develop their communication skills.
• The accommodation is arranged in the form of clusters with 12 student managers in one cluster.
• Each floor has eight clusters with four floors for the student managers in the hostel building. 
• Discipline is maintained by student managers called the Cluster Friend and Floor Friend.
• The hostels come with facilities of drinking water coolers, lockable steel almirah and basic furniture.
• The hostel also provides a gymnasium and a swimming pool.
• Apart from these it also has a laundromat for the students.
• The hostel also provides a doctor for minor medical emergencies.
