• The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board WBJEEB declared its decision to conduct WBJEE 2025 on April 27, 2025. From December 2024, registration for the exam will start via online application at wbjeeb.nic.in by inputting personal, academic, and other contact details. Eligibility details must be checked before filling in the application form.

Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College established in 1961 is a premier Engineering College in the State of West Bengal. The College is situated at the outskirt of Jalpaiguri Town, the Divisional HQ of seven Districts of North Bengal. The College offers Bachelor degrees (B.Tech) in six branches and Master degrees (M.Tech) in two branches of Engineering.

Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College (JGEC) is a premier institute for quality technical education in India. Established in 1961, the college has produced many talented engineers till date. It holds the distinction of being the second oldest engineering college in West Bengal.

JGEC is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT), and the courses conducted by it have the approval of All India Counsil for Technical Education (AICTE) and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The college conducts Bachelor's degree (B.Tech) in six branches and Master's degree (M.Tech) in two branches of Engineering. Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College (JGEC), established in 1961, is one of the oldest engineering colleges in West Bengal and is fully owned by the Government of West Bengal. Affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, JGEC offers six undergraduate (UG) programs in Civil, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering, along with two postgraduate (PG) programs in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. The college is autonomous, governed by a Board of Governors, and operates under the guidance of the Directorate of Technical Education, West Bengal.
