The Army Institute of Management, Kolkata (Earlier known as, National Institute of Management Calcutta) was founded on 28 July 1997 by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), New Delhi. Located at Alipore, in the heart of the ‘City of Joy’ the institute has an eco-friendly campus.
AIMK also holds NAAC (The National Assessment and Accreditation Council) Accreditation and it has Certification by ISO 9001: 2015. AIMK Admission includes two-year full-time residential MBA programme with 120 students per batch from which 80% (96) seats are for Army wards and 20% (24) seats are for General category.

The summer internship is a compulsory and an integral part of the MBA Curriculum.
