AIM Kolkata Placement Cell

Army Institute of Management's placement cell assists students with placements by providing help, counselling, and logistical support. It serves as the link between the institute and the industry. There is a concerted effort to connect student placements with the industry's micro and macro requirements.

Professionals from business companies are asked to speak to the students, encouraging and mentoring them on their career routes. The placement cell holds group discussion sessions, critical advice on personal interviews, and frequent industry updates. Seminars, seminars, and pep speeches are held regularly. AIM Kolkata Internship

At AIM Kolkata summer internships are required as part of the MBA curriculum. After completing the first two semesters, each student must do a four-week summer internship between June and July. About 36 recruiters visited the college during the placement 2021.

Placements & Internships : All the students get an internship, though not much is paid during the internship. Placements are very good and almost all the students get placed in reputed companies. Also, the alumni network is very good here.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The admission process is very simple, You can apply for the college by appearing in CAT exam and the cut off is around 60+ and special consideration for army wards.

Fees & Scholarships : The course comes at INR 3.74 lakhs per annum. Scholarships are available, from the army welfare association. The loan facility is quite good and you can get a loan easily.

Academics & Faculty : The daily routine includes 6 hours of classes and modern teaching equipment are used in teaching. Also, the faculty is quite good and experienced here.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Its a fully residential college and mess facility is also there. The quality of food provided is good and the infrastructure is also satisfactory.

Clubs & Associations : There are different clubs where students can participate. Nostalgia and inferno are the most important events of the college. College life is good in overall.

Placements & Internships : I have done a internship in first year only with ITC Limited and i was paid Rs.3500. All types of companies hire from the college. average Package is 4.7Lacks .Highest package last year was 9.38 Lacks and the college has a 100% placement record. The alumni network is very strong.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The Eligibility criteria for admission is that you should be graduated/graduating with at least 50% aggregate. You should take the CAT exam as the admissions are through CAT score only.           The application process starts in December . You have to fill up a form and send it by a draft. After that, you get call for GD/PI on merit basis.  I took CAT exam for admission. 60 percentile in CAT is the least you need to secure admission.  

Fees & Scholarships : 4.98Lacks for Army wards and 7.8 Lacks (approx) for the general. There are ample scholarships and you can get them by scoring good grades. The loans are arranged from the college.

Academics & Faculty : The daily routine is very busy as the classes start at 9:00 am and then we have at least 3-4 lectures of 2 hours each daily. Assignments projects and tests are taken on the weekly basis. The Quality of teaching is excellent. Teachers of very high reputation are invited to the college for guest lectures very often. Very good college with a lot of opportunities.  

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are two hostels for boys and girls . the hostel fees are included in the overall fees of  4.98 lacks. It is a fully residential program and no one is allowed outside the college. The food in college is excellent as it is controlled by AWES.  The campus is equipped with all the facilities like wifi.

Clubs & Associations : There are a lot of clubs like akriti club, striker club and debate team you will have ample of opportunities to polish yourself. The college fest Inferno, Alumni meet Nostalgia and Bazzare are the Main events of the college. The college life is very good and disciplined and we love it.

Placements & Internships : Placements: Army Institute of Technology (AIT) witnesses above average placements with MNCs like Microsoft picking up about half a dozen students at a whopping 10 lakh package as well. Others get around Rs 3.5 to 4.5L per annum. Major recruiters are Tata Motors, Infosys, IBM, Zensar, Wipro etc. The college easily manages to place over 90% of its students.

Academics & Faculty : AIT offers the following four engineering courses: Computer Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering. All four courses are approved and accredited by both the All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). All the four courses which are offered at AIT, i.e. Computer Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Information and Technology Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Each course lasts for eight semesters and these are spread out over four years, referred to as FE (First Year Engineering), SE (Second Year Engineering), TE (Third Year Engineering) and BE (Bachelor of Engineering). The annual First Year of Engineering intake for each class is sixty students, thus leading to a total of two hundred and forty freshmen entering AIT each year, apart from this there is also a provision for migration from other colleges subject to certain rules. In 2010-11 number of seats in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering was increased from 60 to 120. Computer Engineering is considered best branch in Army Institute of technology in terms of placements.

Fees & Scholarships : fees-165000 1 out four students get scholarship. various scholarship like AGIF,DLF,cummins etc are given. criteria-base on merit(some reservation for girls). girls get a very good amount of scholarship. avalablity of loan is easy as all the required documents are issued in a short time.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Excellent campus, makes you feel like you've become a part of the army training, although the courses offered are nothing related to that. The library is air-conditioned. Classrooms are decent and  labs are well equipped. Presently AIT has 3 hostels within the campus, two for boys and one for girls. Hostel fees are around Rs. 45,000/- per year. Sports facility for indoor/outdoor sports is also available. A shopping complex exists within the campus to cater for day to day requirements of the inmates like stationery, food, general stores etc.
