Library

The Library houses a store of various books from the best authors in the world from the electronics sector. We also encourage students to use the digital library archives and supplement themselves with repositories and services of NPTEL and other similar allied services.

The Library houses a store of more than 23000 books, more than 300 International and National Journals from the best authors published in popular Journals covering various branches of Engineering & Technology, Management and Humanities. A New completely wooden furnished library is equipped with International and National Journals Section, Reference Section, Books section, Digital Library, e- Library, Online Journals reference section, Reading Room, Document Scanning Facility, Document Printing Facility, Automated book lending system, Reprographic facility, Dailies and weeklies section and with an amazing collection of nearly 23,000 books. An exclusive books section of Microsoft, Wiley and WP contains four copies of all the titles published till date by them.

We also encourage students to use the digital library archives and supplement themselves with repositories and services of NPTEL and other similar allied services.

We have unlimited user licensed access to IEEE, ASCE, ASME, Springerlink and McGraw-Hill Journals, and Proceedings.

Data Centre

Some of the outstanding infrastructure facilities like WiFi and wired Network with Fiber backbone connectivity powered by CISCO switches with High Speed leased Line 1:1 Internet Connectivity and controlled from a Centralized Data Center - First of its kind in an Engineering College. Hardware Firewall, Remotely controllable KVM over IP Switch, Network Attached Storage (NAS) Device, Cisco Layer 4 Chassis Switch, and all Cisco L3 Manageable switches are attractive features of our Data Center.

Wi- Fi Access

The entire BMCE campus including Cafeteria and library are fully Wi-Fi enabled facilitating anywhere everywhere learning. More than 500 computers on-campus are linked to the internet through leased line and broadband connections with the network of over 10 high end servers powered by Cisco switches and managed from a centralized Data Centre. The internet activity is not only restricted to the college premises but true to the BMCE tradition and innovation we have a sprawling WiFi network that transcends all barriers. We seek to provide education at your convenience- a prized BMCE initiative.

Software

The BMCE repository boasts of software that bridges the gap between the industry and college. Licensed Services from Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, Codegear, RedHat , Fedora, Ubuntu, MatLab, Autocad, and OrCAD are made available to the students to further enhance their skills. We have a good collection of licensed system and application software based on the latest technological innovations and requirements. We encourage students to learn more skills and become complete well rounded industry ready professionals.

MICROSOFT Campus Alliance Programme

With subscription licensing programs, we have the right to run a selection of products, and any upgrades or downgrades of those products, for a designated term. For application, system, and Client Access License (CAL) products, even if the number of computers or users grows, we remain fully licensed throughout the designated term. Microsoft has two subscription licensing programs for education customers. Campus Agreement is for higher education institutions and offers the simplicity of counting people instead of computers.

Sports Facilities

The College has a very active Arts and Sports Club. Arts Club organizes annual arts fest during the second half of the Academic Year. The students are categorized into four legions – Athenians, Macedonians, Spartons and Trojans, so as to organize a highly competitive arts fest. The Sports Club conducts Annual Sports which is a 3-day programme venued at the College.Technical fests are being conducted by the association of each department every year. The various events include paper presentation, debugging, technical quiz, software contests etc.

Extra - Curricular Facilities

Around 5000 books and required periodicals are available. Reading room provides facilities for 50 occupants at a time. The library is open from 8.45 am to 5p.m. On all working days. Students are encouraged to contribute at least one book to the school library. Each student is expected to make full use of the school library. A digital library is a library in which collections are stored in digital formats and accessible by computers. The digital content may be stored locally, or accessed remotely via computer networks. A digital library is a type of information retrieval system. The campus Digital Library contains Tutorials, Reference guides, e-books, whitepapers of all subjects in video, word and PDF formats. digital library provides a search interface which allows resources to be found easily. The major advantage of digital library as a means of easily and rapidly accessing books, archives and images of various types.
