Overview

Established in 2000, the University Institute of Technology (University of Burdwan) offers B.E. programs in six specializations and M.E. programs in Computer Science Engineering and Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering. The undergraduate courses admit 60 students per specialization annually through WBJEE, while postgraduate courses admit 18 students per specialization through GATE. University Institute of Technology Admission

University Institute of Technology (UIT), Burdwan, established in 1999, is an engineering institute under the University of Burdwan in West Bengal. Approved by AICTE, UGC, and NBA, the institute offers B.E. programs in six specializations and M.E. programs in two specializations. Admissions are based on WBJEE for B.E., JELET for lateral entry, and GATE for M.E. The institute provides scholarships for rank holders, minority students, and economically disadvantaged students. Major recruiters include TCS & Wipro & IBM & Cognizant & Jaro Education.

University Institute of Technology Infrastructure

At UIT Twenty-Four Hours of Health services are provided to the students through University Health Center. Aside from this, the service of well-qualified doctors is available round the clock through Burdwan Medical College & Hospital, which is the district hospital and situated close to the institute. UIT also focuses on co-curricular activities, hence sports events, drama, quizzes, and story writing are organized inside the campus where students participate. The college also has a computer room which has 100 computers connected to a server room. Overall there are 400 computers in the campus and 90  thin clients available with internet connections through LAN.

UIT, Burdwan has provided four boys college and a girls college within the campus. The hostel students can use college transportation for navigation. The hostels are well furnished and wifi equipped. Rooms also have cable TV connections and water purifiers. Monthly seat rent of Rs.600.00 p.m. is charged. Monthly extras of Rs. 200/- each, has to be paid, for electricity and generator by the hostellers.
