Helping Drops is a beneficiary scheme which was started on behalf of Dr. Sam Paul, Chairman and Managing Director of this College. This scheme aims to provide financial assistance to this college's academically bright but economically needy students. According to this scheme, all the faculty and students of this college contribute one rupee per day throughout the year. One rupee donation for a day is not a massive expenditure for an individual. Still, the overall amount collected through this scheme at the end of an academic year is remarkable. From the total amount, scholarships are awarded based on the criteria described above to students selected.

Christ Institute of Technology provides students with undergraduate programs who want to pursue their engineering careers. For their B. Tech program, CIT also offers lateral entry. In the aggregate of subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, and optional subjects such as Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computing/ Biology (Botany & Zoology), a minimum of 45 percent marks or 40 percent marks for reserved categories in 10+2 boards recognized by Govt. Tamil Nadu or the equivalent or examination of any university or authority recognized as equivalent by the Chief Counsel of the University of Pondicherry shall be deemed eligible for admission.
