College Library & Reading Room
Books in the College Library are primarily meant for the use of the students and Members of the college staff. Avoid rough handling, mutilation and loss of these books. They are sacred instruments of education for the present and future.
Membership : Every student of the college, who pays the library fee at the time of admission, is entitled to borrow two books at a time. Library Cards : Library Cards are obtainable from the Library office. They are non-transferable and valid for one academic session only. A fine of ten rupee shall be levied for the loss of a borrower's Card, No book will be issued to the students, if they fo not produce a borrower's Card at the time of request for a book.
Main Library : Books from the main library are issued to students for seven days. Detailed rules for the Library are notified by the College Library.
Departmental Library : This section contains of books and magazines for the exclusive use of the students and teachers of post-graduate dasses. The Heads of the Departments shall frame rules and regulation for this library.
Reference Library : Reference Books shall not be issued except by permission of the Principal. An Author Card is maintained in the Main Library and should be consulted.
Reading Room : The Reading Rooms is open to all. Magazines, news papers and other periodicals are placed on the table and are not issued. Back numbers may be issued on request. Every students of the College is entitled to become a borrower of the Library provided he reproduces his Identity Card issued by the Proctor and fee receipt at the counter.
The Science Association also rune a Reading Rom for the Science students, particularly. A number of science magazines are subscribed. A few Science books and reprints are also available.

The Scheme seeks to correct the phenomenon of seclusion of education from the society by exposing the student corn mu n ity to a ballast of social realities, The Scheme thus, provides a wide range of opportunities to study the problems of society at first hand and to understand the implications of efforts to tackle them through enabling the students to make such efforts "education through Service is thus the additional dimension, that NSS imparts to the educational system.
The 'Scheme was started by the Government in 1969-70 in the college of various parts of the country. The scheme was started in 37 Universities drawing about 40.000 students in the first year i.e. 1970 Over the years this wholly voluntary scheme multiplied manifold.
