College of Applied Science (IHRD), Mavelikara was founded in 1993 in the vibrant city of Kottayam, Kerala. It is a State Government institution. The institute is affiliated with MG University (MGU).

College of Applied Science (IHRD), Mavelikara offers 6 courses, namely, BBA, BCA, MSc, BCom, M.Com, BSc which aim at the holistic development of the students. Students can gain expertise in their chosen fields with a faculty of experienced and knowledgeable educators.

The college infrastructure boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including Playground, Library, providing students with a conducive environment for their overall development. The institute campus is spread over an area of 7.5 acres. The hostel facilities are provided for both boys and girls on a single and twin-sharing basis.
