Placements & Internships : During the 2nd year, I did my training at Vardhman mills Hoshiarpur. No stipend was paid during that time During the 3rd year of college, I did my training at orient crafts Pvt. LTD. and a stipend of INR 15000 were paid during that time. Avg salary is around INR 4lpa, highest was INR 18.5 LPA, the percentage of batch placed was around 70% for my branch that is textile technology, The alumni network is not very satisfactory
Entrance Exams & Admissions : There were 2 set of papers that were taken into account i.e 10+2 board exams and JEE mains exams. the weight age of 10+2 marks was 40% and that of jee mains exams was 60%. based on your performance in both of these exams u get a specific college jee mains 113/360 to qualify for jee advance (to get into IIT's)
Fees & Scholarships : In 2017 batch the fees for 1 semester is INR 71000/- there are scholarships available for sc/st students no idea no idea
Academics & Faculty : classes start at 8:30 am. finish at 5:30 pm. Exams happen thrice a semester and assignments depend on the teacher to teacher average excellent
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Boys hostel are 7 in number and hostel fee is around INR 5000 per month hostel life is so fun that it is not worth living in pg quite good labs are actually outdated and wifi is good

Placements & Internships : Placements of NITJ is very good but for some branches, it is very bad. In some branches, the placements frequently change every year as in Computer Science the package may be the highest in the college or maybe lowest one. But the branch like civil has almost same placements every year.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for the admissions are JEE mains paper passed. Actually, admissions are done by Josaa which is the online platform for admission to many colleges. There is a different cut off for different categories like for SC the cutoff generally are 50 to 55 numbers in JEE, but for general, there is 100 to 110 and for BC there is 70 to 75.
Fees & Scholarships : There is a different fee for different categories like for SC the fees is less around INR 7 to 8000 per semester but for general the fees is higher.
Academics & Faculty : There are many events infest happened in the college but the main events are only 2 which is Techniti and Utkansh, but the Techniti in this year did not happen.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : The infrastructure of NIT J is not very bad but nowadays some building work has been started which may be usable in 1 or 2 years. So I think there is a no big issue of infrastructure in coming years. Also, there are AC classrooms provided for the second year and higher but for the first year, there are no AC classrooms.
Clubs & Associations : There are many societies in college with does different works like electrical society and many others. There are only two main fests of college that are Techniti and Utkansh.

Key companies are Vardhman, Trident, Reliance, Exl, Mu Sigma, Virtusa, etc. Core textile companies look for your core knowledge in subjects whereas the business analyst companies check ur skill mainly aptitude, communication and presentation skills. Avg salaries: 3 - 4 LPA Highest Salary: 21 LPA Around 80% if the batch was placed.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility criteria You need to score more than 140 marks in your JEE MAIN exam to get NIT Jalandhar and you should have 75% marks in your board exam or you should be in top 20 percentile.

Academics & Faculty : The overall experience of college is good. Teachers are hard working and patient. Only pros are less of practical knowledge. The curriculum of textile technology needs to be changed a bit, I feel there is a repetition of some subjects in consecutive semesters.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Hostel feel is minimal. There are 3 girls hostels and 9 boys hostels. Food is good in the college as it is in Punjab, people are more inclined towards good food. Also, the food is not at all expensive. Wi-fi of the college is good.
Clubs & Associations : There are many clubs like LADS, MADS, NITovators and many events takes place every other day on the campus. Main festivals are Techniti and Utkansh which are technical and cultural fests respectively. You will get so much of bhangra and Gidda to watch.
