Placements & Internships : My internship was at Arvind Mills, the internship was fine but I was not paid any stipend. Key companies are Vardhman, Trident, Reliance, Exl, Mu Sigma, Virtusa, etc. Core textile companies look for your core knowledge in subjects whereas the business analyst companies check ur skill mainly aptitude, communication and presentation skills. Avg salaries: 3 - 4 LPA Highest Salary: 21 LPA Around 80% if the batch was placed.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility criteria You need to score more than 140 marks in your JEE MAIN exam to get NIT Jalandhar and you should have 75% marks in your board exam or you should be in top 20 percentile.

Fees & Scholarships : It will cost you around INR 40k per semester including the mess and hostel fees, so it's not expensive at all. Scholarships- Less privileged meritorious first-year engineering students annually • 50% scholarship reserved for girls • Streams of Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunications, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Computer Science/Information Technology only Salient Features • Annual Scholarship comprising: – Tuition Fees reimbursement (If the student is availing any other scholarship, the balance tuition fee, if any, would be reimbursed) – Flat allowances for books, stationeries, hostel, additional classes, etc. • Scholarship subject to clearing of all subjects and securing 1st rank in class.

Academics & Faculty : The overall experience of college is good. Teachers are hard working and patient. Only pros are less of practical knowledge. The curriculum of textile technology needs to be changed a bit, I feel there is a repetition of some subjects in consecutive semesters.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Hostel feel is minimal. There are 3 girls hostels and 9 boys hostels. Food is good in the college as it is in Punjab, people are more inclined towards good food. Also, the food is not at all expensive. Wi-fi of the college is good.

Clubs & Associations : There are many clubs like LADS, MADS, NITovators and many events takes place every other day on the campus. Main festivals are Techniti and Utkansh which are technical and cultural fests respectively. You will get so much of bhangra and Gidda to watch. Nd rock shows, fashion show, gala, etc also happen in these events. Life is so good at NITJ
