Amritsar Group of Colleges was established in the year 2002 by Amritsar International Education Trust. It has an aim to provide excellent and top class education to students in the field of engineering, science and management studies. The institution is considered as one of the best engineering colleges in North India. AGC, Amritsar is accredited by National Assessment & Accreditation Council [NAAC] and Grade 'A' by the National Board of Accreditation [NBA]. The institution has earned many ranks and awards at the national level. The institution is affiliated to Punjab Technical University [PTU] and recognized by University Grants Commission [UGC]. 

The partner institute of AGC, Amritsar is Edcil India Limited which is a Govt. of India enterprise. AGC, Amritsar got its ISO 9001 certification in the year 2003. The institute takes great privilege to acclaim students from Bhutan, Sri Lanka, East Africa, Nepal, Burma, and other countries. Amritsar Group of Colleges placement cell has a dedicated panel of working extremely hard towards campus placement and pre-placement training activities for students. 

AGC has become a platform for world class education for the past 16 years. The vast campus is spread over an area of 16 acres surrounded by lush green environment and comprises of other colleges as well. The campus is structured and well planned, providing students with all the necessary amenities. Located 12km from Amritsar near Manawala, the institute is a hub of education and center of excellence.

Amritsar Group of Colleges also encourages its students to take part in extracurricular activities apart from academic excellence. The playground is spread over an area of 2.5 acres where games like cricket, football, chess, athletics, and kabaddi are played. AGC offers scholarships to students. Candidates need to apply for scholarships by appearing for AGC NEST- National Entrance Scholarship Test. AGC B.Tech:

AGC offers B.Tech, a full-time course. The duration of this course is four years. The B.Tech course explores the potential of the student in the field of science and technology in real-time research and developmental projects and helps them understand the working of the industry. The syllabus is a perfect blend of practical and theory workload.

AGC MBA:

AGC offers MBA, a full-time course. The duration of the course is two years. Amritsar Group of Colleges Facilities:

The campus at the institution is well planned and structured. All the facilities required for the students are present in the college campus. AGC, Amritsar has state of the art infrastructure. The campus is well maintained by the maintenance staff. The vast college campus consists of a classroom, auditorium, gymnasium, sports facilities, and cafeteria. 

The central library at AGC, Amritsar was established in the year 2002. It is spread over in an area of 625 sq ft. There are over 67,500 books and documents related to literature available in the library. There is a vast collection of journals, books, encyclopedia, and magazines, wifi-enabled and is air-conditioned. The college also has a digital library that has 22 computers with more than 400 non-printed material which is used by students. The library has three seating halls with a seating capacity of 200 students at a time.

The institute has state of the art classrooms with the latest technology equipment available and has a seating capacity of 80 students in each. AGC, Amritsar has 46 classrooms in total with E-classrooms in each department. There are over 800 computers, 141 PC with well equipped centralized internet labs. In total there are 16 computer labs present in the institution. 

AGC, Amritsar offers transportation facilities to its students and staff members. The institute has a fleet of thirty-eight buses across the city providing drop and pick facility. The institute offers medical facilities to staff members and students for free. The doctor’s on-call service is available for all on days from 9:00 in the morning to 7:00 in the evening. 

The department of Hotel Management & Catering Technology in the institution has started its own restaurant named "ACET Swagatam" and a bakery named "ACET Bake Studio". The main motive of this move was to increase and encourage the skill and innovative ideas in this field.

AGC, Amritsar has a dedicated placement cell that works together to conduct placement drives and other training programs for the students.
