DSRRAU was established by the Rajasthan Ayurved University Act (RAU Act) in the year 2002, becoming the first Ayurved university in Rajasthan and the second Ayurved university in India. To get admission to this university for degree courses one must attend the state and national level Joint Entrance Test or NEET UG. All Ayurved, Unani, Homeopathy, and  Yoga & Naturopathy for the Ph.D., PG, UG, Diploma, and Certificate courses are affiliated with this University.

Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishan Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur accepts students from every communication by providing the central government approved reservations for SC, ST, OBC categories, and differently-abled persons. The University has three of its own constituent colleges within the university in Jodhpur and two constituent colleges in Charai Tonk and Ajmer Campus.

DSRRAU Departments

DSRRAU offers courses in various departments like Ayurved, pharmacy, homeopathy, and so on. Below we have listed the various departments available at the university.

DSRRAU Admission 

DSRRAU provides a wide scope of courses for various segments like homeopathy, ayurvedic, Unani, etc. Selection will be based on the student's merit in the university's entrance exams. The admissions process is now open for the year 2022 and the application form is available on the official website of the university.

DSRRAU Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for each course are different and students that do not fall within the scope of the criteria will not be considered at the time of admission to the institute. The courses with their eligibility criteria are given below.

B.A.M.S. Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must pass 10+2 in science biology with a minimum score of 50% in physics, chemistry, and biology.
• Must secure a valid score in the NEET UG.

M.D. Eligibility Criteria

• Must pass an undergraduate course like B.A.M.S for Ayurved or B.H.M.S for homeopathy.
• The average score must be a minimum of 50% or above.
• The NEET PG score of the candidate must be relevant.

M.S. Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have secured a B.A.M.S. degree.
• The minimum percentage score must be at least 50% or above.

Why Choose DSRRAU?

DSRRAU is a result of an initiative to promote Ayurved medicine under the RAU Act in India. More than 30 colleges are affiliated and accepted by this university. The main campus in Jodhpur has separate areas allocated for academics, residence, sports, a luxurious guest house, library, canteen, and even a separate herbal garden and farm of its own. In 2021, 

DSRRAU Academic Advantages

• The university has 38 faculties, 33+ affiliated colleges, various course programs in 5 major categories of Ayurved medicine, 7.5 acres land of for herbal and medicinal plant farming, an anatomy museum, and a medical lab.
• To make the university accessible even to handicapped persons, 80% of buildings have ramps & lifts, walking aids, wheelchairs for transportation, and toilets specifically designed for handicaps. 
• The research students will be financially supported to submit reports and research papers for national and international agencies like ICMR, UGC, WHO, and NIH.

DSRRAU Cutoff

DSRRAU's cutoff is determined based on the NEET rank result. The university releases its cut-off of various UG and PG programs after the NEET UG results are out. For 2022, the cutoff has not yet been declared. In the years 2020 and 2021, the opening rank ranged from 23082 to 39098 and the closing rank ranged from 30921 to 54041 depending on the program chosen. However, here are some of the common determining factors of the cutoff

• The difficulty level of the NEET UG exam.
• The seats are available at the university.
• A number of candidates appear for the NEET exam.

DSRRAU Result

DSRRAU offers various UG and PG courses like BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BNYS, MD, MS, Ph.D., and other certificate courses as well. The merit list is uploaded on the official website of the university after the results are declared. The examinations of the courses are conducted each semester which means twice a year the results are published on the DSRRAU official website. Students can check their results with the roll number or any other required credentials.

DSRRAU Infrastructure

DSRRAU being one of the first Ayurved universities have tried to include all basic facilities like separate residence for boys and girls, medical laboratories, a canteen, and even its own herbal gardens and farming spread across 8 acres of the college campus land. DSRRAU Placement

DSRRAU invites top companies and hospitals to recruit their students. The placement drive is conducted on campus so that interested students can send in their curriculum vitae to the respective companies. Selected students can further continue the placement process by attending the interview rounds after proper preparation. In the year 2020, 42 out of 80 UG students and 29 out of 30 PG students were eligible for placements. The average salary package in 2021 was Rs. 3.9 lakh.

DSRRAU Scholarship

DSRRAU does not offer separate scholarship programs within the university. However, all state and central government scholarship programs are accepted here. All candidates that meet the basic eligibility criteria qualify to take admission after an interview round. The scholarships provided are mentioned below
