Former Prime Minister, Late Mrs. Indira Gandhi established a Polytechnic Institute in 1976 in her constituency at Raebareli and further established Feroz Gandhi Institute of Engineering & Technology in Oct. 2004 (continued to flourish under the blessings of Hon’ble Smt. Sonia Gandhi, M.P. & Chairperson of U.P.A.) to meet and ever increasing demand of scientific and technological era.

The Department presently coordinates with leading organizations which recruits trainee engineers and GET’s for entry level positions. The salary package offered to F.G.I.E.T graduates are attractive and averages to around 3.0 to 5 .2 lacs per annum across all sectors of the industries. The starting salary in IT sector has been increasing because of competitive sourcing by organizations
