Former Prime Minister, Late Mrs. Indira Gandhi established a Polytechnic Institute in 1976 in her constituency at Raebareli and further established Feroz Gandhi Institute of Engineering & Technology in Oct. 2004 (continued to flourish under the blessings of Hon’ble Smt. Sonia Gandhi, M.P. & Chairperson of U.P.A.) to meet and ever increasing demand of scientific and technological era.
The Department presently coordinates with leading organizations which recruits trainee engineers and GET’s for entry level positions. The salary package offered to F.G.I.E.T graduates are attractive and averages to around 3.0 to 5 .2 lacs per annum across all sectors of the industries. The starting salary in IT sector has been increasing because of competitive sourcing by organizations

Entrance Exams & Admissions : A student has to clear UPSEE with good rank like under 1500 to get the college for B.tech seats and for mechanical engineering some more good score we can say under 1000.
Fees & Scholarships : Approx INR 92000 for fees and INR 40000 for hostel Up govt provide the scholarship for poor once.
Academics & Faculty : Best teaching faculty is present here. Experience is best. And the quality study is focussed here.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : 2 hostels for boys and 2 for girls Charge is approx INR 40000 per year. Food quality is average like another college hostel.
Clubs & Associations : This is the field where is rocks. The different fest takes place every year. you can say about 4 in a year which is the best part of college.

There is no scope for AE and ME students. For my batch, Highest salary offered is Rs. 5.5 lakhs and approx 50% of student got placed in CS and EC. No one got placed from ME and AE
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for getting admission in Feroze Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology is clearing the UPSEE exam conducted by AKTU. Typically cut-off for my course is 2000 to 30000 rank is required for getting admission in this college.
Fees & Scholarships : For My batch, the course at Feroze Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology is Rs. 61,250 pa. But since the college is private now, the fees has increased to more than Rs. 80,000 pa. There is no scholarship option in the college but if someone is from a poor family then he/she can apply for the state scholarship. Approx 80% of student get this scholarship facility. Loans are not needed if you are from a normal family. But if there is a need then you can apply for loans in the bank of Baroda.
Academics & Faculty : Classes at Feroze Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology start from 9 am in the morning and ends at 5 pm in the evening. Teachers are average. So don't expect much from the faculty. Overall experience in the college was average.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There is one in-campus hostel for first-year boys, an off-campus hostel for others and two on-campus hostels for girls at Feroze Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology. But the condition of the hostel is not very good. Mess food is awful. There are many PG option available for the students. Classrooms are just like a school class. AC is only for first-year students only.
Clubs & Associations : There is no active club is present in the Feroze Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology. But you will see many politics during the function like fests and fresher's party. These two are the main festival in the college.
